If people today say "to get closer to God you have to pray and read the bible daily"......
what did people do BEFORE the bible was written to get closer to God? Wouldn't that still apply to our lives today also, since "God never changes"?

I would like it if I got some serious answers....from a christian preferably. Ty...

christian said the killer (or God) has given all mankind a choice under their 'free will', but logically there is no choice given by the killer (God), do you agree? if God really want to give us free will, then people who accept him AND deny him should all go to heaven, what do u think?

Why is it that christians argue amongst themselves over the color of Jesus' skin. I keep seeing bigots on here who clame to be "christians" that make hateful remarks towards blacks, asians, hispanics, ect.... and yet if Jesus had been born he was born in Isreal and would have been similar in coloring to the Israeli's we see today.... so I guess my question is... how can you follow a God who's son is "of color" and still be a bigot? Any christians have an insight to this one, or muslims, pagans, jews, ect.(I don't really care)...? And why is it so hard to realize that if Jesus existed he couldn't have been white?

I am God, worship me? Dont give me bible verses that are ambiguis and can mean whatever you want them to mean. If he was God and wanted you to believe it and not have controversy about it 2000 years later.....then he would stand on mountaintops claiming it to all that would listen...over and over again...right? There would be a thousand accounts of him saying...I am God worship me...and there isnt even one incident of that claim issuing from his mouth...so why do you all believe he was God on earth? what did he say distinctly that made such a claim?

Atheists, comment only if its funny, i want christians to hear this and respond. What does it say about the Holy Spirit if this is true? and it is, please don't say i'm lying.

Masses of blundering idiots unwilling to think for themselves and committed to every whim of their governing body regardless of the laws of the land ...this is a RED FLAG! can you say "group think crisis"? While those of us who know better find ourselves feeling sorry for them, perhaps we should be more aware of the possibility that Bethel's power over them is a serious worldwide threat. They are prepared to defeat any collaborated effort our authorities can muster. A "new world" means getting rid of the old one...

If it was the flesh then there's no much value in this sacrifice, it will only balance a killing of a human being not the sins of all human being. If it was god, then how come a god be killed? does a god die? can a human being kill a god? can a human being spit at a god? can a material thing "cross" hold a god? Does god feel pain? can someone cause pain to god? if so, what's the difference between this god and all the other human beings?

I am with a girl and she is a christian. I believe in deism. Her parents do not know about me because she says they will say that we are unequally yoked. The bible says things like.... What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? I don't believe in an idol, i believe in the same god. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? I am in no way wicked and know many Christians that are far from righteous. It also says.... How can light live with darkness? I don't know but questions like that from the bible just fuel my reasons for believing in deism. It just seems like a ways of saying i am better then you because i can believe in something i have no way of proving to even be fact. (Like that god has an affect on your day or that praying is important) Basically what I'm trying to figure out is this (My sitiation) unequally yoked. Its not like i am a Muslim or a Jehovah's Witness. I just don't have a need for the bible to guide me. Thanks for anything.

Okay, so maybe seatbelts or motorcycle helmets are the law in some places, but airbags, flotation devices, safety goggles, etc aren't usually.

Non- fundies need not reply; if you don't trust in God for protection then your opinion probably doesn't really provide much insight into the fundie way of thinking.

A person might be " New Age ". . . OR . . . there are " New Age " bookstores...ways of thinking...era of time. . .What do you feel a " New Age " person to be like...their style of thinking and/or mindset ?

When you hear the phrase " New Age " . . . what thought comes to mind. And...where did the phrase stem from...it's been around awhile.

I've very aware that ' labels ' are not of importance...yet I do wonder what, more specifically, certain words or phrases mean when expressed.

Some one in my church recently found out that i donate plasma twice a week and told me that i was sleazy for doing that and that i was breaking God's law by "prostituting" myself for it. When i tried to explain that it helped many people out there that would other wise die for it and that yes we do get compensated for our time with money it was not selling the plasma they said that it was still the same thing. Does any one else agree that i am breaking God's law by donating plasma? My church also goes on Red Cross Blood Drives and this person is fine with that!
