Masses of blundering idiots unwilling to think for themselves and committed to every whim of their governing body regardless of the laws of the land ...this is a RED FLAG! can you say "group think crisis"? While those of us who know better find ourselves feeling sorry for them, perhaps we should be more aware of the possibility that Bethel's power over them is a serious worldwide threat. They are prepared to defeat any collaborated effort our authorities can muster. A "new world" means getting rid of the old one...

p.s. This is a question and not an accusation. It comes from my personal experience of being controlled by Jehovah's Witnesses. I have to wonder who is the real brains behind all the manipulation? We were, they are, & I was not allowed to exercise free will. This may allow someone to abuse their strength in numbers. So you saying that "there are also many atheists" is beside the point. Who is pulling their strings? Atheists think for themselves as far as I know they allow themselves a conscious at least. Jehovahs Witnesses blindly follow instruction.

the only history the JWs discuss is just before and after Christ (which our generation was not here to witness). During the 1930's and 1940's Watchtower publications denounced vaccination JW publications dropped the ban on vaccinations in the early 1950's, and today they recommend the procedure. November 15, 1967, issue of THE WATCHTOWER banned organ transplant operations Recent Watchtower Society publications applaud transplants as procedures that have "helped" people. (AWAKE! August 22, 1989, page 6)
These rules dehumanize JW believers:
If one does not follow the rules of the Watchtower they will be shunned. You cannot read Christian literature from a Christian book store. You cannot vote in any political campaign. You cannot serve on a jury. You must report your witnessing activity to the elders. You must go from door to door weekly to gain converts. You cannot have friends who are not Jehovah's Witnesses. The Jehovah's Witnesses take seriously Jesus' command to preach.

"Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit." -- Matthew 28:19

"While I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house." -- Acts 20:20

By observing the command to preach, we show Jehovah that we love him.

"I do nothing of my own initiative; but just as the Father taught me I speak these things." -- John 8:28

We also preach because we want to counteract the lies that Satan is promoting against him.
As Jehovah’s Witnesses, we yearn to share in exposing Satan’s slanders and in sanctifying God’s name before mankind.

"The god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through." -- 2 Corinthians 4:4

"“YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”
“I myself have told forth and have saved and have caused [it] to be heard, when there was among YOU no strange [god]. So YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God." -- Isaiah 43:10-12

The apostole Paul showed how important is to preach the good news.

"If, now, I am declaring the good news, it is no reason for me to boast, for necessity is laid upon me. Really, woe is me if I did not declare the good news!" -- 1 Corinthians 9:16

The Pharisees thought so too of Jesus back in the day. Probably why they wanted to kill him. However, Threat is the wrongest word you could use. These are peaceful, humble people. In many countries where the draft at 18 is still in effect, these people go to jail rather than pick up a weapon against any other country. Bethel's power comes from the Bible and it's teachings.
But yes, a new system of things does mean getting rid of the old one, but the Witnesses will have nothing to do with that. that is up to God when he decides to wipe the earth clean from corruption and death and those who bring it. They just want to be on the winning side, that's all. In this wicked system, the traps are many that lead to the broad road, so they tend not to think like the 'world' for themselves, not yet anyway. There will be plenty of time for that later.

What power does the governing board have? To have power they need two things, financial control and lifetime positions. You find that only in Christendom. There are no lifetime leaders in the Watchtower. The governing board changes frequently and those serving live in the same residential hall at the volunteers that work in the printing plant. No big house, big salaries, big cars, and expensive vacations. They also don't have conferences where only the elite attend. So, there is no one who has the power, or desires it, over everyone else to decide what they think. When I was young, there was a simple window washer who is now a district servant. One day he may serve on the governing board for a spell. He didn't buy his way in like they do in other religions, he worked his way.

As for blundering idiots, most 12 year old witnesses have more Bible knowledge than many I've met who attended Bible colleges.

Firstly, I assume you read these things you are saying, otherwise you are assuming allot. Assuming you did read this, then what does it make you that you believed all these things before posting them??? We do not fight in ANY wars, FOR or AGAINST any nation. So where does the threat come in??? We follow the Bible's commandments to preach. We do not fight in wars. We remain neutral. Asside from these facts I cant think of ANYTHING about our beliefs that could be considered counter government or a disruption. The "new world" you refer to, is Jehovah's to create. Consider, when Noah and his family went into the Ark, Who created the Deluge??? Jehovah. It is God's to do, not ours.

Consider some other numbers. Consider the number of people who are Atheists. I guess since there are many of them, we should be afraid of them as well. There are allot of Cats in the world. Should we fear them as well?

Your supporting arguments of various rules are really funny. Some are true, one or two are half truths. How sad.

The Following is an excerpt from a brochure aimed at telling you exactly what Jehovah's Witnesses are "really up to". Our worldwide educational work...

"Jehovah's Witnesses—Who Are They? What Do They Believe?

Who Are They?

They are
interested in you
IT IS the desire of Jehovah's Witnesses that you become better acquainted with them. You may have met them as neighbors and fellow employees or in other daily affairs of life. You may have seen them on the street, offering their magazines to passersby. Or you may have spoken briefly with them at your door.

Actually, Jehovah's Witnesses are interested in you and your welfare. They want to be your friends and to tell you more about themselves, their beliefs, their organization, and how they feel about people and the world in which all of us live. To accomplish this, they have prepared this brochure for you.

In most ways Jehovah's Witnesses are like everyone else. They have normal problems—economic, physical, emotional. They make mistakes at times, for they are not perfect, inspired, or infallible. But they try to learn from their experiences and diligently study the Bible to make needed corrections. They have made a dedication to God to do his will, and they apply themselves to fulfill this dedication. In all their activities they seek guidance from God's Word and his holy spirit.

They are dedicated to
God to do his will ..."

Interesting that you would say that........ (where people's mind will go)

What are we really up to?.... Matthew 24:14.... That's what we are up to from time and time again.

Quote these words coming from Jesus Christ himself on what he wants HIS FOLLOWERS to do:
"And this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (NIV Bible)

Hello... These are Jesus' words, not ours, not the governing body...... Jesus; wanting us to send this good news of God's Kingdom to everyone. I'm sorry that you're bothered that we're just obeying God's word. But know that when it all boils down to the things that we do and THINK, it's Bible Principles; NOT MAN'S thinking.

You sound like George W. Bush talking about weapons of mass destruction and the so called treat to the world. People like you who try to force others to think your way are the real treat. Leave the Witnesses alone, they have the right to believe what they want same as you do. Live your life and stop backbiting.

I'm not a blundering idiot. The Governing Body doesn't impose anything on us, much less "whims." Bethel is no threat to anyone. It's a PRINTERY. Sheesh. We aren't trained to fight anyone. In fact, we go to prison rather than take up arms.

This makes no sense and is basic slander. We respect and we do as Jesus told us : "Pay Ceaser's things to Ceaser but Gods things to God." We owe Jehovah our lives because he gave his only be-gotten son in sacrafice so that we can be saved and have that second chance. Please don't slander us and make false accusations.
