Of course, he was a Jewish Rabbi. He observed the traditional feasts and all Jewish customs of the time! He will still be a Jew when he comes back to rule the nations. He will sit on the throne of David and rule from Jerusalem!

Joshua ben Joseph was a Jew, reportedly born in Bethlehem, although there are no contemporary records, and raised in Nazareth. Unfortunately all but one of the accounts we have were written two centuries after his death, including all four Gospels.

Such records are compiled from oral history, which includes hearsay and wishful thinking. While some particulars may be true it would be a miracle (pun intended) were it to be even mostly accurate. The only account extant from the actual time is the description provided by Josephus, a Jewish leader who defected to the Romans during the rebellions. His books include a physical description of Joshua, and not much else.

Evidently Josephus was not impressed. he confirms as an eyewitness, however, that Joshua ben Joseph did exist and was most definitely a Jew.

Yes. I remember a priest telling about someone being offended that Jesus was called a Jew. He said he told the person, "only on his Mother's side."

We hear a great deal today about a “war,” “conflict,” or “clash” between Islam and Christianity. The topic is so prominent in the media that many people assume that there is something irreconcilable between these two approaches to God. It is not surprising, then, that so many Christians of good will have concluded that Islam and Christianity are fundamentally incompatible. Yet, if, by “Christianity,” we mean “that which Jesus Christ (pbuh) meant to convey to his hearers,” I believe that these people of good will are mistaken when they tell us that Islam is incompatible with Christianity.

What's more, I believe we can now prove that the historically oldest Gospel verses reflecting the reported sayings of Jesus (pbuh) are entirely compatible with Islam.

Yes. He was born to a Jewish woman, and back then it was your Mother's family that had the greater influence over the heredity. Mary was of the House of David, meaning that she was a descendant of King David.

Which was a good thing, since His Father was not a Jew.

Yes. Christianity wasnt invented until after his death, when Peter or Luke (or Paul?)... one of those guys... wrote about how they thought he rose from the dead and performed a bunch of miracles and then people started listening to him and lo and behold, they called this new belief Christianity.
