What's the whole point of salvation if every person was perfect? Only Jesus was perfect. Check this: God at the
beginning of time sets up laws, scientific laws, gravity,
etc. He also sets up a basic law of obedience: love God and
love your neighbor. Man broke these two laws (the core of
the Ten Commandments). All of us break these laws. God has
already said if you don't follow these laws you will be put
to death. But since He loves His creation, He doesn't want
to destroy them. He wants a way to save them. But how?
Sacrifice. Executing the consequence but on someone else.
But who could be worthy enough to be sacrified for billions
of people since the beginning of time? God. So He went to
earth, and died for the sins of man.
All He asks now is for you to accept that. That is
salvation. He doesn't want you to pull up a list of things
so you can be 'Christian'. He just wants you to accept that
He died for you and that your sins are forgiven when you ask
of it to be.
Now how about attitudes and following laws and
regulations and all this jazz. You have to see God as a
friend rather than a cop. Just for an example, if you
hang out with friends that smoke all the time, you are
influenced to do so yourself and might take up smoking.
In the same way, if you hang out with God and people that
believe in Him, you will be influenced to live that kind of
life. The change is progressive, and to some people
instant. But it all starts out with befriending God.

If 1+1=2 does that mean that apples are bad for your teeth?
Jesus was perfect. Jesus in this case was Jesus, not all men. Group a has 15 members. group b has 15 members. How many members are there total? Between 15 and 30. The two groups are not mutually exclusive. So it is with the attributes of men and women. Why didn't God send His daughter? Because He sent His Son.

ah.............. that would be a definate no
We already have mother earth and father time.
Remember mankind referees to both men & women.
Women played an important part in the life and time of Jesus.
If God sent a daughter - Joseph would't be capable of carrying and delievering a child. Thus the Mother Mary and the son Jesus made more sense.
Your logic doesn't hold water. And to the person who mentioned that women during that time period weren't as educated or powerful as the men. NO, NO, women have always been the power, if not on their own, then by being the power behind the man.

I like to think that Jesus' gender was the way it was because at the time, women were not taken seriously as thinkers, philosphers, leaders, and teachers. had Jesus been a woman, her teachings would probably have fallen by the wayside and forgotten BECAUSE OF THE TIMES, not because it is right.
I don't think gender matters in heaven anyway. Angels are said to be androgynous.
It sure would be nice if Jesus came back as a woman, but I don't think anybody'd be expecting that. And that just might trick all the non-believers...

well, because who would listen to Her in so strictly a patriarchal society? She could change water into wine, cure the desperately sick and crippled, dance the boogaloo on water and rise from the dead after FIVE days but because She had a vagina no one would believe in Her divinity. in fact, they'd call Her evil, rape Her and burn Her at the stake. however, the Bible says that Jesus said "if any man says there He is! there He is! believe them not". since upon HIS return if anyone were to point and say "there He is" His return is not to be believed therefore Jesus will have to return to Earth as a woman so His/Her return would not be negated by His previous admonishments. now that would be an interesting test. would His followers recognize Him if He were to return in a such a Way? would they be able to look past their preconceived ideas and prejudices to see The Truth if It was embodied in a woman? i seriously doubt it. if Jesus doesn't come jumping out of the sky with angels singing a Gloria chorus and golden trumpets blatting, as Christians expect, The Way The Truth and The Light will be ignored or feared and reviled. Christian expectations MUST be met or there is no "God", there is no Second Coming..

Oh you little Troll you are just asking for this. OK. It is because men needed redeeming and women were already perfect and holy! God made woman after the first model proved defective and Jesus was the only way to correct the mold.

No, men are just equal to women. To answer the second question first imagine a women on the cross. See men just have the strength to let himself be crucified.
