being. Shouldn't they have stuck to the Fish symbol instead of the gory, gross, xxx rated crucifixtion. Does this account for so much of mental illness around us today? the abuse of children subjected to this type of indoctrination over many generations must bear some unsavoury fruit?

I was in a forest near my house and I started ringing a faery bell that I own and all of a sudden a bunch of chickadees came and the were flying everywhere! Could these have been the fey in animal form?

If you have no belief in God or Satan or Heaven and Hell are you not concerned with what may happen when you pass away and where you'll end up? One other thing how do you cope with stress, family issues, marriage etc. just a thought.

Filled with fire ("a lake of" I believe is the saying) so, what keeps it going?
What is the fuel?
How often does it need to be re-fueled?
And how exactly does a soul, something that, according to your myth, has no substance or form, feel pain?

being gay, adultery, blah, blah blah...Do you really know what it says? Or have you just accepted what you have been told to believe? Have you really went to God in prayer about these issues? Have you asked for God's guidance, revelation, etc...?

Have you studied the original texts? How can you speak so pointedly about so many issues, without being a theologian yourself?

That is like saying, I know what an artichoke tastes like...but, you have never tried one...you base your opinion on what someone has told you.

I challenge you not to be so quick to judge and make broad reaching conclusions without really seeking God's enlightment.

Just because your pastor or church says this is the way it is....does not mean they are right. Again, I bring up the issue of slavery...many mainline churches, (Southern Baptists) preached from the pulpits that it was ordained by God...now people finally realize...yeah, maybe they were wrong.

Don't blindly follow doctrine or people...

The whole apple scenario is so familiar that it just sounds normal. But if you read somewhere for the first time that Adam and Eve ate the lima bean of truth, or drank the bees wax of truth, might you think that sounds silly?

And of so, then can you understand why the apple/fruit version sounds silly to those skeptics like myself?

I read something once that talked about Buddhist states of consciousness, ranging from being fully awake through sleep and meditation, with one of the highest states of awareness being able to see into the spirit world, so to speak. This was a long time ago, and I can't seem to find any information on this online. Anyone know what I'm talking about, and could I get the names, or a link to the names of the states of consciousness? Thanks!
