Bush doesn't need anybody to make him look stupid,he does a good enough job of that himself.
And please don't tell me my future mother-in-law is crazy.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeell. I won't say anything about your mom! But the President or the Democrats or Rush Limbaugh can't do too much to prevent it. We all played and play a part in it when we abuse the environment. If we didn't heat homes and run freezers and computers and drive cars we may be able to say that we didn't contribute to it. It is a World dilemma. Hopefully we find a solution before it is too late! Fighting and putting the blame on anyone is ludicrous. It started when man developed and industrialized. Do we go back to flint and caves? We must use less electric and save fuel now!
Ma was just venting and didn't know her statement would be on Yahoo, so give her a break!

Umm, I am not evil, nor am I a Democrat. And, I didn't make up Global Warming but I am having to live with it just everyone else. The Earth is warming up. There is no denying that. The reasons why are still in speculation. It may be a natural cycle of the planet. It may be something that man has caused or contributed to. But it is happening and will continue to do so. We need to be aware and not wasteful. Recycling would help a bunch! Blessing, Diana

Your Ma is a bit crazy. I'm still not 100% convinced global warming will turn out as predicted but the Dems certainly didn't make it up. There is evidence of a warming trend and that's clear now.

I don't think that cause is established. The same thing is happening faster on Mars, look it up. The whole thing is way to complex for as simple an answer as what the media is sending out, and the same groups spent the whole 1970's talking about cooling and the next ice age.
I am not saying it is, or isn't. But I am certainly not prepared to shut down the world economy over it right now.

There are three kinds of people in this world.
1. Those who look at facts, use deductive reasoning and rational thinking to come to an educated conclusion.
2. Those who believe and parrot what their radios and the pundits tell them to believe.
3. Those who think the facts are too scary or too hard to deal with, so they make up their own truth and pretend it's fact (and spread it as fact).
I'm thinking your mom is probably a 2. Limbaugh is a 3. You're obviously a 1.

You know those PhD environmental science types. In the 70s when they started researching climatology, they were anticipating President Bush's presidency. Also, all of Europe and almost all of Asia are in on the conspiracy, and cutting into their GDP's to reduce carbon emissions JUST to spite Republicans in the US.

I think that is a radical position, but I wouldn't go so far as to call her "crazy." I think she's wrong, but not necessarily crazy. It sounds like something Limbaugh might say.
