Some people seem to believe that Adam and Eve was true because they simply read it in the bible. I wish I could be like that! I swear I would love to have that much faith. I happen to believe in evolution and hate myself for that.

Is it because I don't know how the bible was produced or who wrote it what makes me unhealthly sceptical?

I have started to really hate myself in the last month or so because I seem to want to question everything.

Why can't I simply just believe in Adam and Eve? I do believe in god. As a presence though, not body.

Stuck under a train or something... anyways, you have the ability to save one, or neither of them if you wish. A gay man, and a straight man. Both identity themselves as Christians. Which would you save, and why?

Upon examination, I found that the Holy Scriptures and the King James Bible has the same chapters in them from Genesis to Revelation. These books were selected to be in the Bible during the Council of Nicea held in 325 CE. I would like to know if this is coincidental or was the Holy Scriptures translated from the books selected by the Council? Thank you

cut up the body of his concubine who had been raped and send the pieces out to "all the coasts of Israel?" I have to admit I don't really understand this story at all. The concubine runs away, he comes to get her. Her father treats him well, even feeds and shelters him for several days.On the way home, they are taken in by a stranger. Later that night, the host offers his virgin daughter and his guest's concubine to a mob of perverts (who want to have sex with his guest). The mob refuses the daughter, but accepts the concubine and they "abuse her all night." The next morning she crawls back to the doorstep and dies. The Levite puts her dead body on a donkey and takes it home. Then he chops the body up into twelve pieces and sends them to each of the twelve tribes of Israel.
Why? What is the point of this? (It's Judges 19, by the way)

i see a lot of silliness going on that is just plain disrespectful. i have answered questions on YA as honest as i possibly can, only to later realize the question was a farse to get one group or the other riled up....and you people wonder why the whole world is at war? before you point a finger next time to place blame somewhere, look at the other three fingers on the same hand pointing right back at ya.

Or not believe that humans are causing it? I'm not saying they are for sure- I don't know because I'm not a scientist, but even if it's not caused by us don't you think it's a good idea to be less wasteful and try to do our part to make the world a better place? Do you just not want to believe in it or do something about it because you don't want to have to change your ways? Is it laziness? Do you truly not care about future generations? Or do you really believe that it's fine to do whatever you want and that you're not hurting the world?

Once again I know- wrong category but I want you guy's opinions not some other category's opinions.

I always thought that athiests were just jerks because most of the questions from them on here are mocking Christianity, and when people ask them why they do it, they say that Christians are judgemental and cruel...I always thought they were just making excuses to be hurtful to us UNTIL I SAW THIS:

"Are you an atheist, if so you are a creep!?"- This was a question posted by someone who's name was (get this): I LOVE GOD.....yeah. This is unacceptable; it is no WONDER Atheists have such a low opinion of Christians on this forum. Please know that this is NOT the kind of behavior that Christ expects from His followers....this person is clearly confused about what being a Christian really means. I would like to apologize to everyone whom this girl offended, especially athiests.

I have asked questions concerning the mormon faith and all I get is "you're jealous", "you hate us", etc....Is this the way the mormon people act when asked legit questions about thier religion? If it is than someone is false advertising on tv,when I see your commercials I think man they are nice. But if you start asking about certain doctrines they show thier real colors. So why do you baptize for the dead? Why do you say god lives on the planet kolob? What Jesus do you worship, the Jesus of the bible or the jesus of joseph smith or is your jesus, joseph smith and by whose authority do you spread your religion? If Jesus came to America to spread the gospel to the Indians than why did a European discover the plates and had angels appear to him? I am Native American and I find it rather racist that your jesus would not use a Native American to translate anything that was ment for Native Americans I was told that Jesus came here to serve the Indians with another testimony. truth please!

Ok I eliminated the Church of Christ because you can't tell me that was the first church. Most members are trying to convince me telling that was the real name. If so why does that matter? I am just curious because a friend brought it up.
