I said "was" because if the KKK marched in Washington today, mobs would attack them. But they have done it in the past. At one point they were practically a Christian army; soldiers were sent into the south and midwest to control them

You say that the "KKK was essentially a group of conservative religious fundamentalists." So does that mean that you actually believe that all Christians are conservative religious Fundamentalists? If so, please go back and learn more about Christianity, a belief system in which hardcore Fundamentalists are a definite minority.

At my church, whites sit in the same pew with African-Americans, Asians, Native Americans and anyone else who comes to hear the word of God. Hardly sounds like the sort of thing a Klansman would enjoy, especially considering that whites drink out of the same Communion chalice as everyone else, too. No one race is favored, and all work together to glorify God. Oh, and the Klan tormented Catholics for years, which a lot of people tend to forget. Yes, they tortured white Christians, too.

A lot of people use the word of God to promote evil, so what's your point? That the KKK is bad? I think we already get that. Actually, 30 years ago if you demonstrated against them, you were pretty likely to get yourself shot. These people just used the word "christian" in order to make others feel it was okay to spread hatred against other races. These people don't have a clue what being christian really is. So I suppose your point in posting this is an attempt to make all christians look bad because of the KKK? Sorry, you're too late, the crusades and inquisition already did that. And yes, we were all alive back then, therefore all christians today are reponsible for the crusades, inquisition, and apparently we're all part of those crazy KKK'ers too, just like non-christians are all responsible for Stalin and don't forget all those human sacrifices of children in the mid-east back before God and Allah took control and ousted good old Baal.

The statement, "KKK was essentially a group of conservative religous fundamentalists," cannot reasonably lead one to conclude that "Christianity [is] exemplified by the KKK".
As a matter of fact, Christianity is NOT exemplified by the KKK or any other hate group.

Christianity is not exemplified by the KKK. Only people who want to believe the worst in a religion would think that. The KKK are misguided bigots who use religion to excuse their hate. That is not Christianity! Christianity is about loving your neighbor and helping your fellow man. It's everything the KKK isn't.

Do you find it more disturbing that radical left wing liberals are forcing schools to teach the homosexual lifestyles to 5 and 6 year olds?

The Old Testament is considered a valid text for Christian use yes? Well read your Bible. Noah got drunk and lay naked in his tent. One of his sons came in and covered him up. When Noah found out he CURSED his son and his sons Ascendants. According to the Bible text the Ascendants of this cursed son were the people of Africa. THAT'S WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS. Possibly used as a justification for slavery!

Plenty of groups do terrible things in the name of God. They take some little verse from the Bible out of context and wrap their whole theology around it. It's nothing but pure evil. Look at Westboro Baptist Church.

These groups call themselves Christians, but they are definitely not followers of Christ. It doesn't mean that we all think that way.

Why is atheism exemplified by Communism?

Communism was essentially a group of militant political atheists who killed over 600 million people. Isn't this disturbing?
