I know - it is terribly sad.
We have groups demanding respect for themselves from others - but wont give it another group. A lot don't seem to realize respect is a two way street. You have to give it also in order to get it back. You can't demand respect while you bash another's religion.
I have seen many questions here that are - as you said a farse. Designed to show the supposed stupidness behind one group or another. Very immature.
You would think if someone is going to critize a belief system they would have the balls to come right out and do it. Instead of veiling their intents.
And if they were really brave - they would show respect while doing this.
