I mean, not necesarily the religious icon. Even if you're not religious, some sort of higher being created the universe, but who created him? And what was there before God?

And to everyone who says "God is eternal, he always was..." don't you ever think about things like this, or do you just blidly accept things without thinking about it?

And to everyone who says "people/ Chuck Norris" I don't mean thought him up, but who created the REAL creator, that everyone has to admit exists?

I will try to answer your question as best I can, however, sometime a faith based belief can only be supported by the limits of our minds as mortals. If you read the word it explains God as the Alpha and the Omega, he always has been and always will be. Our minds work on a finite base which means that we believe or operate on a spectrum that for every beginning there is an end. That within itself limits us as we know of infinity and explained in the word as, "If a gull were to take a grain of sand on one side of the ocean and fly it all the way across to the other side and then back to retrieve another grain, back and forth until the entire continent was moved, would not even be a dent in time that goes on forever. Now, if you take the two, our limited thought process and the definition of infinity you can see that God goes for infinity, like time backwards (was always), and forward (always will be) takes the argument out of our realm of reasoning and it becomes a belief without proof.

Just as an opinion, maybe his son, Jesus was given to us not only to save our souls but to give us a little more fact to support our beliefs. Jesus has a beginning, the imaculate conception of mary, and died on a cross during his crucificition. A beginning and an end that directly correlates to be believable within the limits of our thought process. Just showing the difference because the same amount of faith based belief is necessary in the existance of both as there is no proof. As some seek the places of crucifiction and the travels of Jesus, findings of similar items and places are mentioned as are some of the events of the planet further support the belief but do not prove it. If you do not believe you have to have faith. Faith is a very powerful trait. It can take you to a different height of awarness and therefore faith in a belief of God and all that is good versus evil and Satan gives you a good pattern of what you should live by. While we cannot argue on a scientific level with proof, what harm could it possibly do to follow a doctrine of honesty, fairness, kindness and bringing happiness to your fellow human being. If God always was then he was not created.

There was nothing before God - because God is eternal. Has existed, does exist and will always exist.

This is a difficult concept for a lot of people to grasp. We are trying to understand something infinite with finite minds. We have come to believe that everything needs to be created - even God.

God was not created by anything. God was always there.

If God needed to be created - then God really wouldn't be God. And if God was created by another - then who created the being that created God? This is a never ending cycle based on faulty reasoning that something cannot simly be eternal.

There is no reasonable answer to your question. Theists will tell you that god doesn't need a creator because he exists "outside of time" whatever the hell that means. Or that he just "always was". The truth is, to exclude god from the question is a logically fallacious argument called 'Special Pleading'.

God exists outside space and time. Time didn't exist when he existed and space didn't either. God can exist within nothing and all that is why God is the beginning and the end.

Our life is like a line but God's life is not like a line but a dot. A dot doesn't begin or end, it is just there. Our life ends and God's life is just there and always will be.

this is an easy question. god was not created it was always there,. that is one of the reasons god was invented or would you expect that the universe was always there ?

that last option, that the universe was always there is so bizar to hold for true that we have to reject it as false. the only logical option that remains is thus the second one. ( see above )
