To focus more on our similarities, would make it far easier to find places where we can meet....I don't think focusing on our similarites means we have to *be* similar, only to acknowledge those things we all share in common, and use them to seek a meeting place. Nothing wrong with differences or uniqueness, except to those who would want to use them as wedges....

I agree with Pangel. I would also like to add that we are all human beings despite our differences we should treat eachother as such.

what is more important is both our similarities and our differences. we learn from both that we were all created by a great and loving Almighty God and heavenly Father. and that we were created equally but uniquely. God molded man and woman equally and all the same which makes us all human; but then he puts his fingerprints on each of us, making us all unique by giving us our own unique brains and talents to go into the world and do something great. we are all a piece of this puzzle called life....we just have to find our place to fit in. therefore, the answer would be both are important.

Unity is far more important. In fact diversity has been shown to be a flawed concept, causing damage to the very people it was supposed to benefit. The labels "native american", "african american" may be descriptive, but they also are divisive, in that their use encourages minorities to think of themselves as victims. Until we become a truly colorblind society, on all sides, we will continue to have problems. The military is a good example of what all of us should strive for. They all depend on one another and in the heat of battle there are no separate races, only comrades in arms. My closest friendships in life have been with those I served with in the military. People of all races who depended on each other equally. Those are wonderful relationships.

Differences. It is what makes each religion unique and special. Each religion is beautiful in their own way. Celebrate the differences and cherish the similarities.

Similarities. If we focus on our differences, we become indifferent. If we look to our similarities, we become similar. We will unite. We will become compassionate. We will learn to love one another, the second greatest commandment. If we are capable of the second greatest we automatically fulfill the greatest.

We learn more from our differences than our similarities. Of course that's contingent on whether or not people are open-minded enough to hear about them.

Our differences I would say.If we were all similar, that would be boring.Like if all flowers were roses and they all were white. Now when you put differences in the world, it becomes unique---nothing like it and nothing to compare to it.

The most important thing is what's on the inside. That's why when you get impaled you die. Don't get impaled.

I believe that truth is more important than either. It is our perception of truth that divides us.
