Of course they are. Atheism is, after all, a simple lack of belief in the existence of gods, and therefore all babies are born LACKING belief.

Well, technically, they are born without belief in a god. However, I personally would not call that atheism. I think that to be atheist, you need to have an understanding of the question and then make a choice. The same goes for the religions as well. The baby cannot be a christian until the baby has an idea of what christianity is and makes the decision to be christian.

lol, Stumpy is referring to "tabla rasa" the concept that nurture is the key, not nature, and we are born with no conditions and acquire them through experience.

All man kind even babies are creations of God .
Its only when we can speak , think and talk for ourselves that we decide to be atheists .
Even though we all have a physical body while we live on the physical earth, all humans have a spirit because we were made in God's image. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says that we are made up of "spirit, soul and body." Your body is aware of the physical world around you, your spirit is aware of God within you,
There for it is as i said . you are what you are until you are capable of thinking and acting differently and that is someone created in gods image ..

No. Of course not. Children grow to decide for themselves what to believe based on what their parents believe and what they are taught. The damage that is done to them along the way also affects them greatly.
