I don't think so.
Whether it was the right thing to do should be the question. The devil manipulates us by fear.
As a Christian, I do follow after the Spirits direction. If around a Muslim, especially if he has a black turban or wearing white, I will use caution & pray about it. Though the 9-11 terrorists dressed as everyday people. So, I follow after the Spirits direction. If the Spirit directed me to get off the bus now, I would get off right then. If I felt fear that I knew was the devils manipulation, I would pray to God about that, & get clear direction from the Spirit. If the Spirit led me to stay on the bus, then I would stay even though afraid.
If trouble was going to be on the bus, I would have already asked God if it was safe or not, before getting on the bus. The Lord already knows the plans of everyone involved in the bus ride, or even those elements outside the bus, around the next corner .

Yes, it's quite weird to get scared of a person who is reading a holy book on a city bus. This is not a proper behaviour by any standard. If you are just suggesting something about a particular faith, it's again not decent. A man with a holy book on a bus is, in fact, a beautiful sight and is quite reassuring about his inner world. It shows those aspects of human life that are usually overshadowed in the slippery routine of day-to-day living. It's unfortunate that for past some time all over the world Muslims are as community being denied their due respect. I think it's mainly because of the insanity of a few individuals and partially because of rather weak denial and denunciation of such insanity by the rest of the community. Islamic brotherhood should have more stringent rules for membership and by no stretch of imagination, a terrorist should get in and rub shoulders with the believers. Unfortunately, it's not globally loud and clear. That's why, all sorts of weird questions are arising and weird things are taking place in this world. Mr. Steven's question needs to be understood in this context and should not be emotionally ridiculed and mindlessly dismissed.

What do you fear from a Muslim reading the Koran? You are being silly. It is people like you that make the terrorists so happy. They have you terrorized. Stand strong and next time take your Holy Bible, the Word of Almighty God and read it. If you are Christian, He that is in you is stronger than he that is in the world. You have nothing to fear. How many times did the Lord say, "Do not fear?" Trust God.

Wow. Yes, that's bizarre.
Let's say you're Christian (probably Fundamentalist from the bent of your question). How would you feel if you were reading the Bible on the bus and someone got off for fear of his life, or started mocking you, or beat you up, or something?
Sheesh . . . it's this kind of bigotry that's tearing our country apart from within. I'm honestly more afraid of attitudes like this than of terrorists.
The United States of America was founded on principles of religious freedom. This includes Muslims, my friend. Hopefully you're a decent person, just a bit sheltered. Why don't you get to know a Muslim, or at least someone who's different from you. Maybe you'll find they're not so scary after all.

That's VERY weird that you got off the bus just because someone was reading the Quran. Maybe that person had a long way before his/her station came so instead of wasting time, he/she decided to read the Quran. There is nothing wrong with it.

Not at all. With what's been happening Islam and everything about it has become a source for fear. Please remember the terrorists were extremists like the KKK, no more representing most Muslims than they represent most Christians. Caution is a good thing and staying alert to possible danger is survival, but don't let it dictate your fears or you'll end up with a paranoia or neurosis.

YEs it is weird. WHy doesn't it seem to be right to read the quran on a bus? If you are reading whatever holy book is in your religion, does that mean that other people should fear for their lives and get off the bus?

hi :) if truth be told, the Koran is God's speech to human beings. Quran isn't a know guy. it really is the know the author >> The God, the in simple terms God in this global. the guy who created you, me and anybody, and each and everything. similar for all previous scriptures (Torah, Bible ..and so on), they were all God's speech to human. God's messengers used to keep those scriptures right into a written style (for this reason the be conscious scriptures). So human beings of those days used to "accuse" messengers via telling them : "this isn't God speech, it is a e book youwrote at the same time with your fingers" So God desirous to despatched his very last messenger Muhammad as "illitrate" ! definite, it really is genuine that prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is did not know the thanks to position in writing. however he's the instructor of the completed global, he did not even write a be conscious in his life. God despatched Jibril ( a holly angel) to instruct Muhammad PBUH the Quran. Prophet Muhammad used to memorize each and each and every verse that Jibril taught him. so as all his collegues, they memorized the Quran, The Quran replaced into no longer written into papers except "after" the shortcoming of life of prophet Muhammad peace upon him. it is a important aspect to be conscious. ___________________________________ yet another inportant aspect is : The Quran has very huge apporach. The Quran has large that means that matches in a lot of scopes of life, no longer in simple terms religious ones. The Quran is different from the different e book, Arabian Muslims in certain situations choose "more advantageous translation and rationalization" to three verses of the Quran. some Islamic researchers and students would get a PhD in "rationalization and interpretation" of a few verses of the Quran, it truly is Arabic to Arabic. compared to the present pretend variations of Torah and bibles correct this second. The Quran is truly deep and dense e book with many information, which have continuously been got here across, each and on a daily basis. So opt for any tafseer, and strong success. wish you the finest.

I think you are unnecessarily fearful. By FAR, most people who read the Koran are peaceful and good people. Only a few are terrorists. So it could just be someone who is faithful to his/her religion, and is absolutely no different, nor any more dangerous, than a Christian reading the New Testament, or a Jew reading the Torah.
