The Pentecostal movement within Evangelical Christianity places special emphasis on the direct personal experience of God through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as shown in the Biblical account of the Day of Pentecost. Pentecostalism is similar to the Charismatic movement, but developed earlier and separated from the mainstream church. Charismatic Christians, at least in the early days of the movement, tended to remain in their respective denominations.

The Pentecostal religion is based on what happened on the day of Pentecost. Pentecost means "50". The Lord Jesus told His disciples after He was resurrected to go and wait in Jerusalem until you recieve power from on high. There were about 120 discliples who waited in a upper room 50 days after the resurrection. When the 50th day came, they heard what sounded like a rushing wind and the Holy Spirit fell upon them. The began to speak in other tongues and were filled with the Holy Spirit. With them being filled with the Holy Spirit they had the power to evangelize the world in the same manner that Jesus Christ did with the evidence of miracles, divine super natural healings and with all the gifts of the spirit. This gave proof and evidence that the kingdom of God was here in the earth. So, pentecostal churches follow in the same manner as what happened at Pentecost with the same miracles and evidence of the Holy Spirit. Read Acts 2.

This was created for the people who got tired of falling asleep in church....

Seriously, there aren't rules except everything should be decent and in order. These churches believe in the power of the Holy Spirit as described in Acts and that the gifts and infilling power of the Holy Spirit are for believers today.

To have the Bible as the only and sole authority of Christianity is to invite chaos into His Church. There are at least 5 Protestant denominations created every year based on a different interpretation of the Bible. Theoretically, anyone who owns a Bible can create their own denomination based on their own interpretation of Scripture. Taken to its logical conclusion, chaos is what happens when the doctrine of "Sola Scriptura" is applied. And Christ stated "A tree is recognized by its fruit" (Matthew 12:33) and the doctrine of Sola Scriptura produces "bad fruit" (disunity, confusion and separation).

Jesus Christ started the religion. There are only two basic rules in the religion.

1.Love others
2.And love the Lord your God with all your heart

The side rules involve following the 10 Commandments.

It's actually quite simple.
