What else would you do? Do you believe that actually happened? Will Mormons feel groggy, because they can't drink caffeine? I can't get up from a catnap without a few cups of java. Will Europeans still drink that nasty mud they call coffee, or will they "wake up" to the superiority of coffee you can sip by the gallon?

I am a heterosexual bible believing Christian. I believe Jesus is savior and He is the only way to be saved.

I also happen to know some homosexuals. I am finding it difficult to reconcile the idea that God loves them (john 3:16) and that (1cor 6:9):

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? ..Neither the sexually immoral nor ..adulterers .. homosexual .. will inherit the kingdom of God.

Some homosexuals I meet believe they were born like that, but if homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God, that statement (being born homosexual) is either

(a) not true.. people are not born homosexual. why would a loving God create you with a disposition to sin? it would be like someone saying 'i was born an adulterer'

(b)God is an unjust God

I don't want to judge my friends because i am also a sinner (we all are). why is homosexuality a sin? how do i answer approach the idea that people are born gay? how do i share His love w/o judging their lifestyle?

It seems to me,a being who has always existed and who always will exist has a different idea about time than a human on planet Earth would. So I ask, how long is a day in God's existance?

okay, so in my Bible study, theres a book we're using, and one of the statements/questions does not truly state what it should state. the question asks, "if you do sin, how can you renew your fellowship with Him?"
the real answer should be through repentance, but i can't fnd any passages about repentance like this.
the passage to help you answer the question is 1 John 1:9, which only says to confess but i don't think thats right.
anyone have any passages that can show me that repentance is necessary to renew your fellowship with God?
thanks

You know how the people long ago wanted to build a tower to the sky so they could talk to God, and then God didn't like that idea so he mixed everyone's language and no one could communicate so they never finished the tower. Well, before that happened wat was the REAL language?
If you are catholic you probably know the story.

when a burly man jumped out from an alley way and accosted him....

"hey are you a Jew" the man said

"Why yes i am, said the Jewish man, and proud"

The Glaswegian then set about the man giving him a black eye....

"why are you striking me?" said the Jewish man....

"Because it was you lot that killed Jesus" replied the Glaswegian.

"But that was 2 thousand years ago" said the bruised Jewish man.

The red headed Glaswegian screwed up his face into a sneer and said, " yes i know, but i only found out about it yesterday".

Its just a joke

Historical accounts of Jesus are sketchy at best. The only historians who supposedly wrote about Jesus were not born until after his supposed death. Even in that case, the one mention of Jesus by Josephus Flavius does not fit the context of the narrative around it and breaks the flow of the narrative.

Out of 40 historians that lived in the first 2 centuries CE, only 3 supposedly made mention of Jesus.

Does all of Christianity rely on the Gospels being true? These were written well after the fact and not by eyewitnesses. Why should I believe that these are correct?

Since Jesus ascended into Heaven, what happened to the body? If his body went with him, heaven must have a physical presence. If the body didn't go, something must have happened to the body?

Everyday they're lavished with praise and attention. The congregation always reminding them how special they are and how they live by higher standards. Then overkill just makes them so egotistical to where they say, "Wait I can't teach public students to worship Christ? That's persecution!" or "Wait I can't spew hatred to a Muslim or homosexual but I can be criticized for wanting to?" There was a ton of self-important propaganda at Jesus Camp. Seems to be a gap of information from, "You're not so special" to "You are one of the few soldiers of God."
