Religion & Spirituality - 8 April 2007

I am not trying to be rude here. I tryed to pose a question earlier where this came up. My other question was poorly phrased and I am going to contemplate that before I redo it and put it up again. Suffice to say we all should go back to our dictionaries now and again!!!!!

Religions have organizations made up of us highly falable human beings. Many horrible crimes have been committed by both individuals and groups belonging to said organizations throughout history. They have done good as well but what was said by an answerer is that I critisize the Church and that I have to be perfect to do so.
I pose that we all have a right to call to task any one or anything that appears to be a danger or enact an injustice of any kind. I was told today that unless I thought I was perfect I should not be critisizing the Church. I am certainly not perfect in though fairly close...LOL! Keep your sense of humor!!! Anyway, this concerns me.

Your thoughts please?

What are some old (meaning at least six or seven decade) cults?
And:
-What do they believe?
-What is their symbol?

Bonus if you find a cult that has something to do with finding immortality

From reports I've heard on NDE's People don't go to straight to heaven or hell after death. There is no fire and brimstone hell. What happens depends on your state of mind at death and how spiritual you were in life. Hell is a state of mind of terror and hatred until you see your ways and call on the spirit of god to pull you out. He will. How long you stay in hell is up to you. Even going to the highest heaven is not as easy as christians claim. Words don't help. A pledge of Lordship to jesus is not enough. We must walk our lives in unconditional love. Suicides don't go to hell. They create their own hell in their afterlife until they recieve help. Depends on their reason for suicide. Life is a learning experience. Religion helps but it doesn't really matter. There is no true religion. God is seen in all of them. Nonchristians who have died have seen god. There is no satan. Trying to scare hell into people to be christian only works for so long. Then it will not

Satan wants Yeshua's name (Jesus) a swear word.

He is not afraid of any other name. He would have us curse this name and no other. And the evil in Holywood is the venue Satan has used to expand this into everyday culture beyond America.

Others like the book of Judith, The Gospel of Thomas, The Gospel of Barnabas, The fallen Asleep of Mary,The Gospel of Bartholomew, etc. (modern christians and Catholic doesnt have both of this books in their Bibles.)

Why should I have to pay for the mistakes of others?
That was not my sin, and I had no say in it.
Due to the actions of others, I was born into this world and then doomed to die.
