When a living body wears out it can no longer function and it dies. There is also a genetic cause. Written in our genetic code is a time at which cell reproduction slows and eventually stops. With no new cells being created for purposes such as food digestion, pumping blood, passing messages in the brain... it's only a matter of time before one dies.

Everything must come to an end. A flower will always die. Even if you put in a beautiful vase. A person you love the most will die even if you wrap them in bubble wrap and place them in a padded bed. Everything dies and I think it is because everything has lived their lives. You can't live forever because someday, you will get bored with your life. This is a depressing thought but it is true!!

Death is not the end, it is just another path we all must take. A new journey to the next place our souls must go. Each soul has a particular list of things to learn and/or experience, so when all the lessons in each lifespan on earth are learned we go to a higher plane or level of spiritual awareness and learn more and so on until all has been learned and experienced...only then can we rest.
So do not mourn those that have gone on, but celebrate their lives and rejoice in the happy memories they gave you. Apparently there was alot of love and happy memories before your dad, aunt and uncle went on.
Perhaps your beloved family members have already learned the lessons required of them and are resting now, waiting to enter Heaven!

I was present with my Thai family when my Grandma passed on. Real tears were shed. I am Buddhist as is my family, my Grandma was more of a Mum to my wife and I than a Grandma, I shed real tears at her funeral rites, less tears as those rites reached an end. Now after a year we pay her honour at every visit to where we cremated her.

The Cycle of Life ever revolves regardless of creed, all Life is subject to it and to Buddhists even things like stars and planets are subject to this cycle.

You will remember your Loved Ones in your heart, for their they will always be a part of you. A chapter of her life is closed and this journey is ended, yet another has begun although we are not part of the new journey.

Rejoice in the lives of those that have departed us and give honour and thanks that you were a part of their journey.

I hope that this gives you some measure of Peace.

From a Buddhist....

Man is mortal! Human life is temporary! We are physical beings who can die; we can cease to exist. Our life does not reside in some supposedly immortal soul. No such teaching can be found in the Scriptures. When we die, our consciousness ceases (Psalm 6:5; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10); it doesn't continue in some other form. Our only hope for eternal life lies in the gracious mercy of God. "For the wages of sin is death [not immortal life in some other form or place], but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).

Eternal life is the gift God has in store for those who turn from the way of sin and begin obeying Him from the heart. He "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:4). He is "not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). God desires to give us the precious gift of life forevermore. He will do everything He can to ensure that we receive the eternal destiny He has planned for us..........Read more on this amazing transformation of our lives...........

I think it's just pure science. The body has something wrong with it that it can't fix. My grandfather died 2 weeks ago, and he had a heart attack. Not that old too. My neighbor died from leukemia a few weeks ago also. She was in her late 30s with 2 children. I don't think it has anything to do with God because there is no God.

Well, things have to die so that the circle of life can continue and so all the resources on Earth don't get used up. If no one died, then no one would be able to be born either, because there wouldn't be enough space, food or water to go around.

We're each put on this earth for an appointed time, which is our test to determine where we will spend our life after we die.

The Holy Qur'an (Islamic Holy Book) is an excellent source to understand the purpose of life.

Here's an English translation, check it out:
