Directly to God, the Almighty Father and Lord. Don't confess it to the priest, he is just a human being.

All you have to do is close your eyes and pray to the Lord, confess and you will be forgiven. We have this forgiveness because Christ became the sacrafice on the Cross for us to be redeemed. You do not need to go to a Priest, nothing in the bible says confess to a man. All man, even a Priest can sin, you only need confess to the savior, Jesus Christ.

You can do both. A priest can also advise you. Jesus did say to confess our sins to one another. I confess to God and my priest

SPeak to God like you will speak to your father--(if you are not usually rude to him)--with a repentant heart and a commitment not to sin again--More improtantly, confession of sin must start with the acknowledgement of our completely sinful state and our unworthiness. In other words, do no seek for forgiveness of particular sins alone, seek to be made new by accepting Jesus and commiting your life to him.
