No, not a hoax, just a concept that people rejected too much to be marketable. Instead the RFID tags are now in your regular credit cards transmitting your data into the open air without you knowing...
But no, not a hoax, Applied Digital Solutions, the ones set to offer the implantation are a publicly traded company that makes a variety of fairly widely purchased products.
