I am a devout Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins. I go to church more than once a week. I pray. But I also believe it takes more than worship to get into heaven like acts of peace and love. So my question is in your opinion can non Christians get into heaven?

why god doesn't stop bad things from happening, "bad" is suddenly relative or needs to be defined.

Okay: famine, genocide, rape, child molestation, murder, natural disasters, animal attacks, SIDS

Are any of those ambiguous? Where's the "good" in any of that?

God doesn't stop it because there is no god.

Did you know that neither Christ nor any of the apostles worshipped on Sunday?
Did you know that none of the apostles celebrated Easter or Christmas?
Did you know that Easter (Eastera - the fertility goddess) and Christmas (Saturneli) were pagan holidays involving lots of drinking, partying, and random sex?

Why do you think eggs and rabbits are part of Easter?

Did you know it would have been impossible for Christ to be born in December (winter) since the bible says the shepherds were still out with their flocks at the time?

Did you know Moses wife was African?

Makes you think about what it is you thought you were doing right.

...They please?
The Christ said the prophecy will not change one "jot or tittle", (not one little bit). Until all is fulfilled.
ALL will happen exactly as it says. Not 1500 years ago, or on some symbolic level. And there will be
tribulation on this world "like there has never been,
nor will ever be again!"
Are you prepared materially, psychologically, and spiritually?

I saw a show a few months ago about the Denners or Durners or whatever. They were members of some super-conservative Christian group. I felt so sorry for those kids, growing up in a belief system like that. Does anyone know how they're doing, or if any of the children have started thinking for themselves?

Seriously. Do any of you homeboys and homegirls really think that actually happened?

That mofo would have been one big boat. Plus collecting all of the animals, and pairing them off so the natural predators wouldn't attack the prey. Amazing.

Then why did God create so many different ethnicities? Did God do this to cause us reason to HATE and MURDER one another? Did God create the different races and appear as a different GOd to each of them so he couls stir up a bunch of crap for his entertainment?

OR, is the whole God thing a crock to control the masses?

UNITED STATES, April 6, 2007: America purports to be a religious nation, yet what Americans know about religion is, well, sinful. In his new book, "Religious Literacy: What Every American Needs to Know--And Doesn't," Stephen Prothero, head of Boston University's religion department, says it's time to teach religion in America--not devotion, but religion. Prothero and others have found a shocking lack of knowledge about the religions to which Americans purport to belong, bested only by their ignorance of religions to which they don't belong. Surveys say only half of America's adults can name any of the four Gospels. Most Americans can't name the first book of the Bible. Yet, writes Prothero, world events have been shaped by religious ideas.

In this country, Christianity, in particular, has migrated from doctrinal and narrative components to a focus on religious experience that doesn't appear to require a knowledge of the Scriptures, says Prothero . "Being a Christian has become synonymous with having a born-again experience or opposing abortion and stem-cell research," he said.

"In his research, Prothero said he was surprised to learn that the U.S. government pays little attention to religion when forming foreign policy. For example, Prothero said, "U.S. ambassadors to Muslim-majority countries are typically political cronies who have no training in Islam. And there is no policy of having our ambassador to India, say, know something about Hinduism. This is a scandal. The problem is not hypocrisy, says Prothero, so much as ignorance. He suggests religion be added as the fourth "R" in American education. After all, Prothero says, the Constitution doesn't prohibit teaching about religion. It bans teaching a particular religion.

well this question may seem strange, but atheists don't believe in a God, afterlife, etc. so then why would they want to send someone to nothingness before they had any chance to live, if atheism is about this life then why ruin it for some. At least most religions believe in some form of an afterlife for these babies(no i will not call them fetuses) to go to. Everyone should believe in at least giving people a chance in THIS life, regardless of what could happen to you later on.

Yeah atheists tend to be liberals and think that pro-life is automatically associated with religion, but really its not its associated more with simple ethics, you are either murdering the baby (if you believe it is alive) or taking away its unalienable right to life (if you believe it is not alive yet).
