I saw a show a few months ago about the Denners or Durners or whatever. They were members of some super-conservative Christian group. I felt so sorry for those kids, growing up in a belief system like that. Does anyone know how they're doing, or if any of the children have started thinking for themselves?

They are a big family, but I don't think they are weird. They are self supporting, they do not rely on the government for any support, the children are clean and well cared for, they built their own home, the family works together and seems genuinely happy.
Just because it's not what "most" would do, doesn't mean they are doing something wrong.

They are doing great and yes they have built their home and are now living in it. You mean the Duggar family. Why feel sorry for them ? They are all happy. They suffer for nothing, they are a true Christian family. They are not bizarre, and they already think for themselves just like everyone else. Little judgmental arent you?

I don't know who they are, but our band director when I was in high school was a devout Catholic, and they had 12 children (his wife's idea... go figure) and all their initials were JMJ. Scary.
