that is the main problem of religion.am a pentecostal christian and we aren't taught to be religious.i praise God the way i want and i don't have to be told not to say Alleluia. you need a Alleluia and an Amen all the time. you have to praise God all the time. i rather think lent is religious

Because Lent is a somber event, not a joyous one. It is about sacrifice.At the end of Lent is the Resurrection which is a joyous occasion. Alleluia!! Praise Jesus Christ our RISEN SAVIOR

"Alleluia" is an interjection suggesting joy, and Lent is a period of mourning and repentance. 40 joyless days for Jesus.

We can say it but since it is a time of penance we don't. It is very appropriate for Easter.
