The propensity of the hyperconservative Christian protestant sects to over emphasize the book of Revelation is absurd. Truth be know, if you life a Christ like live, Revelation will not apply to you at all. What they have done is find a way, not a new way - this one goes back far in Christianity - to scare you into belief. Basically, what those do who over emphasize Revelations is to literally throw the Baby Jesus out with the Bath water. They are passing up the basics of Christianity to tell you what the hell will happen to you if you do not accept Christianity. They need to preach love, understanding, and respect and assistance for those that are in need. They are not doing that.
What the TV evangelists are doing is about as unChristian as you can get. 75+% of their time is spent soliciting funds. The TV Evangelists make a lot of money. When have you seen one dressed in rags. Never. But there are Christians dressed in rags. They all dress in fancy suits, see Benny Hinn, whom I know, and live in grand houses whereas those that they are cheating out of their money are living in hovels. You cannot sell salvation, it is free for the asking. They are mulcting the poor - look that word up, it is a good one.
One such TV Evangelist has held shows where he interviews doctors who tell that you must eat a good diet and lose weight, however, Mr. Hagee is as big as a barn.
A Christian would serve himself well if he were to rip the old testament and all of the books after Luke out of his Bible and to study only those books called the Gospels.

There were no copy right laws back then. The Author of Rev. would have been aware of copyists who manipulate someone elses words (usually after they are dead and gone), especially in Rome. Retranslating the scriptures is very serious business.
Every i will be dotted, and every t - crossed. When this happens - the biblical spiritual waters will be getting low. (God will dry up the Great river Euphrates). This will precipitate Christendoms fall. We are just waiting for the last horseman now, so it won't be long.

Look at the very first verse, it says “these things must soon come to pass.”
I mean “soon” is not like 2 millennia, is it? Notice also the word “must”. It means it MUST HAPPEN SOON, not later, not even in a hundred years but SOON. Get it? Look up the word “soon” in a dictionary to see what “soon” means (also look up the word “must”).
Anyway, you have a few options…
- the writer was mad
- the writer was a liar
- the writer was mistaken
- or it happened as it says
So please stop frightening little children with this nonsense about the world ending, you chirstians have been preaching that for 2 millennia and you were always wrong.

The curse, as you call it, is the foundation for the Irish tenant of faith, "damned if you do, and damned if you don't." Who in the world can read it, and understand it all without discussing it? I'm sure that many have memorized it, but that doesn't mean they understand it. So, they're damned if the add (a jot), and damned if they omit (a tittle).

Who is this "They" you are talking about? REVELATION was written by St. John.
REVELATION is a letter to the seven churches of Asia. His "curse" is just a warning that those reading the letter should not change his message. He does not want them embellishing it and does not want them to leave anything out.
Many people make more of it than they should -- thinking that it is a curse from God saying that the Bible should not be altered in any way. But this letter was written a couple hundred years before the Bible was put together -- so that can't be it.

People have never understood prophecy until it was fulfilled. We need to quit wondering when and live like it will be in the next hour.

I agree with Shirley. We need to get our houses in order, for the time is near when God will hold all of us accountable for our works.
