Its true. A child can be suspended or receive detention for even saying they like someone because it may offend someone else. I dont know what is becoming of this country but it truly saddens me.

I think it is possible that on a rare occasion a child that young could know more sexually then they should and may be suspended. However I suspect that most of the time it is adults over reacting. Things have gotten crazy.
You can't say or do anything these days. Our freedoms are going quickly and cooler heads need to prevail.
As a child I am sure a boy probably hit me in the butt while playing sports . Now days he would be in big trouble. It's just crazy !!!

Yes, it is insane. People here have become so oversensitive to anything that might be perceived as sexual harassment, that a little boy trying to kiss a little girl is considered sexual harassment. And the schools have been the victims of so many lawsuits over such ridiculous things, that they don't want to take any chances. It's stupid and shameful that the adults in these situations can't use their darned heads. (I would like to use a word a LOT stronger than "darned", but it'll just get censored.)

If the families won't teach decent behavior, who but the schools can? Or if they can't teach it, at least they can demand basic standards? We have 5th graders having sex in the back of the classroom, jr. hi kids exposing themselves. They and their families need help, and the other kids at school certainly don't need the distraction.

I think anyone who wants to be a parent should be required to take parenting classes and learn how to parent and keep their kids in line. Hey - they make people who have no kids and want to adopt take parenting classes. Fair is fair. Maybe if parents would parent and not let the kids be the boss of them, the kids wouldn't run around behaving like little miscreants to begin with. Maybe we should make school a privilege and not a right. Then kids might take it seriously.
