I'm catholic & i'm confused in how we should fast. I heard from many people that when you fast for good friday, you don't eat anything. While others say that fasting is when you eat one whole meal and 2 snacks that don't equal half of one meal.

you only have one life. And, hey I know we all have differences of opinion. But I think you would want to live life and not worry so much about "God" and all the mumbo jumbo. Don't you ever worry you're wasting life away on something you cant ever prove? This is an honest respectful quesiton. Im just wondering.

Has Heaven and Earth disappeared? No. What did Jesus mean by "everything is accomplished"? This clearly refers to final judgement. This means you need to continue following the law. It's perfectly clear, yet you do not. Why?

"I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke or a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." (Matthew 5:17-18)

If God is the creator of the earth and everything on it, and he created each and every person on it, then how can homosexuality be a sin? why would he make someone who was innately sinful?

and to those who beleive that being gay is a choice, let me ask you this: did you choose to be straight? no, of course you didn't. it's just a part of who you are. you never sat down and said, "hmmmm, i think i'll live my life as a heterosexual," and neither did they. they are just like you. it is a part of who they are.

another analogy: think of something you don't like, take brussel sprouts for example. did you choose not to like it? no, of course not. same line of thinking. (i apologize in advance to those who find my comparison of brussel sprouts to homosexuality insulting, but you have to admit it's a decent analogy.)

What is your response to this? how can homosexuality be a sin?

If God chose to create organisms, specifically mankind, through millions of years of evolution of years of evolution, what happens to the theological underpinnings of original sin and redemption without a real, flesh-and-blood Adam and Eve?

The Jewish woman in Rabbinic literature, it was the custom of Jewish women to go out in public with a head covering which, sometimes, even covered the whole face leaving one eye free. Rabbinic law forbids the recitation of blessings or prayers in the presence of a bareheaded married woman since uncovering the woman's hair is considered "nudity".

Jewish women in Europe continued to wear veils until the nineteenth century when their lives became more intermingled with the surrounding secular culture. The external pressures of the European life in the nineteenth century forced many of them to go out bare-headed. Some Jewish women found it more convenient to replace their traditional veil with a wig as another form of hair covering. Today, most pious Jewish women do not cover their hair except in the synagogue. Some of them, such as the Hasidic sects, still use the wig.

Catholic Nuns have been covering their heads for hundreds of years, but that is not all. St. Paul in the
