The Bible actually speaks on this consrning the latter days, and how people will be telling you to not eat meat.
Jesus died on the cross and that cleansed us, if then we are cleansed and we pray over our food ... meat or veggies ... it is then SAFE and cleansed to for us to eat it.
Those speaking about not eating pork and such? [i.e. any sect or group] Those types of diets were brought about in the Old Testament, BEFORE Jesus sacrifice on the cross for us [the Atonement for all unrighteousness ans uncleaness]. So, even the Jews were delivered from that law, yet many have not come to the full knowledge of this yet, and still pracrtice the old laws.

No humans are NOT suppose to eat. Beware of what the bible says because it was edited by the so-called jews from ancient scrolls thousands of years before the bible was written. In ancient times we did NOT eat animals (anything that's conscious). In fact if you look at ancient artifacts the cow was praised and symbolized as sacred NOT food. Society has been fooled and lead to believe that it's ok to eat meats. The number one killer on the plant is food based... Meats & Processed foods.
Also according to ancient ancestors eating meat is an abomination, something that the bible contradicts. I suggest NOT eating earths living creatures, your soul depends on it. Don't take my word for it, LOOK IT UP.

Nothing about Christianity says don't eat meat. There are food types listed in the bible as what God declared as edible foods (clean or unclean), can be described using the modern word Kosher, without going into huge detail. Check out Old Testament if you want exact details...there are plenty of meats considered edible.

The original diet in eden and before the flood was vegaterian, and in the earth made new there will be no killing of animals so back to the orignal, in Lev. 11 it does say its okay to eat clean meats however in Jesus' time there was no such thing as feeding livestock bloodmeal, the livestock now eat i understand close to road kill for food and its really health wise not very good choice, but if your going by the bible's clean and avoiding the unclean meats which by the way includes swine, then your find, find out more www.itiswritten.com for free bible lessons. The Bible doesn't say anything to us Christians telling us not to eat meat. It does in the Old Testament talking to the Jews, but it doesn't have anything do to with us Christians nowadays.

Says who?
Read Acts 11:9.
God tells Peter that he can kill and eat. Peter tells God, "No, Lord. I have never eaten anything impure." (Back then, there were regulations on what and what not to eat.) But then the Lord said "Don't call anything impure if I have purified it."
Eat meat if you like....I do. =)
God bless.

If you are speaking of a specific denomination, they are not.
All Christians are not of one denomination.
I for one am not supposed to not eat meat on Friday.
I eat what I want when I want.
I am not bound to religious law.
To a Churches teaching.
I am free.
