For an interesting interpretation of what Jesus did at His death, Read, "Jesus in the Feasts of Israel". It explains in great detail how Jesus was the sacrificial lamb of God for the people of the planet. Jesus was sacrified on Passover - to be an offering for the sins.
After arriving in Jerusalem, He was tested and examined by the High Priest (in accordance to the tradition to examine the lamb to be killed on Passover). Jesus was found to be without fault, therefore, he fulfilled prophecy by becoming the sacrifice for us. He died and rose again, so that we may live with Him in Heaven.

From what I have read & come to understand about the man called Jesus, I see him as a person who came to realize that he had to sacrafice himself because of all the hardship & pain that he had brought into the lifes of his friends & familiy members (deciples). He was a warrior who spread the truth in a way that made him & the people around him targets of the people who did not want the truth to be known or shared with others. Jesus shared the knowledge of knowing oneself & attaining the power to heal & other gifts of the spirit world. He was loved, hated, & most of all feared. He gave his life so that the others could get on a boat & sail away to another land & continue the work they were meant to do. He was a human, just like the rest of us. A product of the great force of creation that has created ALL life. It's a shame that the Bible was translated & misinterputed in a way that does not share the stories in a way that is more down to earth. The ancient ways cannot be shared. They must be experienced & each person has a completly different gift from the other. No 2 of us are alike or will ever see things exactly the same way.

When Adam and eve ate the forbidden fruit, they changed humans forever. Humans are cursed with the sinful nature which separates us from God. The old Testament talks about atonement, in which the high priest would take the sacrifice to the holy of holy rooms and burn the sacrifice which would cover the sins of man for another year. Just as God made clothes to cover the embarrassment and the sin of Adam and eve. They did this every year...When Jesus came. He was the ultimate sacrifice. It was a gift from God that if we accept the gift whenever we ask for forgiveness for being sinful due to our nature, we will be forgiven, and the sins will be erased, not covered. We still have the curse from the beginning at the Garden of Eden. Not everyone is going to accept the gift that God gave. Forgiveness can't be earned, by being good, and trying hard to not be morally wrong, Its comes by accepting it. and moving on.

You read the gospel and you have this question? Strange. Jesus knew what was coming. The symbolism goes back to the animal and blood sacrifices commanded by OT law. Jesus came to fulfill the law and by Him sacrificing Himself He took the weight of all the sins on His shoulders. Remember He told Peter this was going to happen.
Sin is still alive but we no longer have to give sacrifices like OT because of what Jesus did. He paid the price for all sins, ours today. Its still here but He so loved the world......

He died for our sins. If we ask him into our lives and have a relationship with him. In the Bible in Romans 3 it says that no one perfect. No one will be perfect like Jesus. Jesus is the only person (true God and true man) who was free from sin. He died for our sins so that we could confess our sins to him and be forgiven. THat doens't mean there is no consequences, because there still will be consequences if God decides to in order to teach you a lesson to show you for sure that what you did was wrong. For instance, one time I was looking at innapropriate sites a long time ago (before a true Christian) and my computer broke. Right after my uncle fixed it and gave it back, I didn't even do anything and my computer broke. This happened, because God wanted to teach me a lesson, and now I understand that going to those sites was against His will and I can never do it again.

I suspect that his death was not the sacrifice for sin, for we all die, but his birth was the sacrifice. Until Jesus came to be on earth in a body, which is actually no small sacrifice, God did not understand why we keep messing up. He told God, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." That's what was gained. From there, an informed effort could be made to assist us. Thus we grow together and the delusion of separateness on both sides is destroyed. We retain an unfortunate attachment to fear and hatred, from which we must walk on our own two feet. But love never gives up.

Jesus Christ himself said nothing about it . all that is said about him is said by his disciples only. they have also said ha before the Roman guards could arrive to take him , he prayed to god and said Oh god why did you give me up? So Jesus was not sure why he was given up by god . They say hat death is the penalty for sin.|They have said that Jesus Christ died on the cross . Was the a sinner to die on the cross?. it is also said that that he resurrected from the Grave and went to heaven with his body.If he resurrected , he should necessarily have died . If he died , he should also have been a sinner as according to the Bible death is the punishment for sin ans Jesus had died on the cross .If he had for our sins , why should people die at all subsequently. So it is all nonsense reported by illiterate persons who had no logical and scientific thinking .

Jesus died for our sins.
Sin is still around because we are all born with a sin nature.
When Jesus died He paid the price for our sin. When we receive salvation through Jesus, we are reconciled to God.
Otherwise without being reconciled to God and without salvation through Jesus, we are all headed to eternal separation from God (hell). Once we are saved we still stumble and sin, which we need to confess to God, but the difference is that we don't make a habit of sinning.
So to sum it up.
Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross to make a way for us to go to heaven.

He DID die for our sins. If you read the Bible, you will figure out the answers to our questions.
The reason that "sin" is still present is because God gave us all free will. We are the reason for sin, not God or Jesus.
