If the world hates you, remember this: It hated me first...
Remember what I told you? A Slave is not greater than his master, since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. If they had listened to me, they would have listened to you.

Do you feel at this time everything Jesus ever said happens to be so true...Does he inspire you to take his message and listen daily through prayer?

I am astounded by some of the feedback that Christians get when asking a question concerning non believers and why they do or do not believe, and the criticism Christians get because we are not perfect. So what is it other than leaving everybody alone do non believers expect from Christians? I would appreciate sincere answers, not sarcastic answers or insults but true from the heart answers. I already know that we are considered fundies, ignorant, dumb because we believe what some consider a myth - is there something I am missing?
Would non believers rather Christians just go away and leave the forums to you for some other discussion?

I have always enjoyed discussing religious topics even with those who disagree with me. I have had many very good friends who differed strongly with me. I am puzzled and perplexed that so many people in Yahoo Answers cannot seem to control their temper or behave in a mature, civil manner when expressing their opinions. Anyone skilled in persuasion will tell you that juvenile belligerence only makes one look like they have little substance to contribute and also makes those who differ with you less likely to agree. Why not express ourselves in a more persuasive tone if we want others to see our points? I see no reason we can't discuss things in a more mature way.

I get yelled at today because I am eating jelly beans on 'Good Friday' because apparently its a 'sin' not to fast. I'm sure Jesus is going to keep you out of heaven because you had that angus burger on the Friday during lent in '78 and ate those jelly beans on good friday yet its ok to go around swearing, disrespecting other religions, and missing church. All religions are cults.

IS MAN so intelligent that he could figure out the Will, and the GOOD Intent the World needed for eons to come. He was so INTELLIGENT he knew what way people could live together in a Civilized Fashion?

The the Commandment *Thou shall not Murder* If this commandment was not inspired by GOD what would make Man think sometimes Murder is good? For instance: Homeless people living off the land does nothing for mankind? they become a burden, If it was up to Man he might say Kill them, they do no good Kill em like you kill a roach.

Do not covet or steal? Here's another one..Your neigbor is mentally challenged he has a Tool in his garage he will never use... So you take it because you can use it..
My point is GOD gave us the rules if Man did it would be what he personally thought was right or wrong... Who becomes the Moral Authority? or should I say Who is? One that is Superior beyong human intelligence, wouldn't ya say?

How many people when you see the commercials for kids with cancer or the kids in other countries starving and all they're asking is for a couple of bucks turn the channel?

What if you were sitting in the kids shoes? What if they are angels sent here from heaven making sure that you're doing your part to help one another? Are you gonna pass that test?

Yeah, surprised me too, but someone with a very unlikely name just posted this as part of an answer:
_______
It is very sad that people don't even want to acknowledge their creator and even blame Him for their problems while professing to be an atheist or agnostic.
_______

So, does anyone know of this phenomenon? Sounds to me like someone needs an urgent psychiatric evaluation...
