Yeah, surprised me too, but someone with a very unlikely name just posted this as part of an answer:
_______
It is very sad that people don't even want to acknowledge their creator and even blame Him for their problems while professing to be an atheist or agnostic.
_______

So, does anyone know of this phenomenon? Sounds to me like someone needs an urgent psychiatric evaluation...

"A real atheist does not believe in the supernatural or in any fantastical beings."

No lala etc - a "real" atheist doesn't believe in god(s). Less 360 and more dictionary for you I think.

LOL. Ya know, actually, I do - but I do it in jest....

When Im having a bad day on the golf course - its the Golf Gods fault. When my motorcycle wont bolt back together, I look to the sky and ask: "Why do you hate me, Oh Kawi God?" But, I dont really beleive in the gods. I do it in jest... Humans like to think that gremlins are responsible for our own shortcomings.... Im not a mechanic or a professional golfer - but I like to think I am, and its the Gods that prevent me from excelling...

I even have my very own ideals, they do exactly no longer trust maximum ... I stay a chuffed, ethical and specially considerate existence. i do no longer write off the opportunity of a better being, yet do no longer sign in for it complete heartidly the two. there is not any longer something to be frightened of bar concept. To my recommendations maximum individuals swallow the Bible as a certainty, particularly than parables/fables interior of a parable/fantasy. As mentioned previous to now .. if Humanity is the two good and undesirable ... and God is good and that which opposes him is undesirable, then greater efficient to apply the Bible as approach of ethics for those cases than to anticipate that Genesis be literal. as though God is humanity, then he could be omnipresent and the potential of good in us all is in accordance with that perfect. regrettably too many in basic terms use faith to sense more suitable to those who don't sense the comparable. a relentless conflict of Atheism vs faith seems daft whilst to maintain on with an perfect as maximum sane people do besides is neither non secular or no longer. Btw ... How can an Atheist blame God ? you're lacking a needed element, they do no longer have confidence in Gods.

It's something believers say because they don't know any better... why would someone blame something they don't believe exists for their problems?

Basically i blame all of my problems on Unicorns and Leprechauns. Every once in a while i get the sneaking suspicion that Santa Klaus might have something to do with it too.

Another incredibly stupid question, quoting an equally idiotic answer.

A real atheist does not believe in the supernatural or in any fantastical beings.

A lot of self proclaimed 'atheists' on this site, have no idea what they are talking about and use the term Atheist the same way other kids use 'satanist', 'wiccan' etc. its just a troll-like way of gaining attention.

I've never heard of an Atheist or Agnostic blaming any "God" or "Gods" for anything. That would be like blaming Barney, the purple dinosaur... he doesn't exist.

This is a variation of "there's no such thing as a true atheist, because obviously everybody -- deep down -- believes in god."

I've heard it many, many times. And you can yell "circular reasoning" until you're blue in the face, but guys like that won't hear it.

There is no one to blame for a person's problems other than themselves. I love how theists can use a made up being (God) as their scapegoat. If they claim to be Atheists, then blame anyone or anything other than themselves, then they are lying to themselves.

I haven't seen much (or any) God blaming by atheists on these boards...

They do, however, seem to vent a lot of frustration, impotence and rage at Christians.

i.e. I DEMAND PROOF !!! posts and so on

No Atheist blames a god for their problems. If they do blame one and still claim Atheism they are simply lying or mistaken.

Riku, just to clear this up for you, no I don't "know" that there is a God. I am as certain that there is no "God" as I am certain that there is no Tooth Fairy. Sorry to burst your bubble.

i haven't heard of real atheists blaming god for their personal problems but they blame believing in god/religion for a lot of the world's problems (e.g. war, slavery, racism, sexism etc.) that directly/indirectly affects them...

i personally think that if religion wasn't around then people would think of other ways to screw each other over..such is the nature of us all...
