Jesus gave an answer to a similar stoning question posed by the Pharisees. A woman was allegedly caught in the act of adultery and presented to Jesus to see what he would say. They said,"Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?(John 8:4-5)" His classic response, "Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her(ibid:7)". They all went away, dropping their rocks. He, the one without sin, chose to forgive her. His response should be ours. The Law was fulfilled in Jesus and He is the focus of all the Scriptures. Everything in them must be read with Him in mind or they don't make sense. Since "all have sinned" according to Romans 3:23 no one but Jesus is really qualified to do any rock-throwing. It is best to leave such life and death matters to him. It was not stones that killed Annanias and Saphira (Acts 5:1-11)! God is the one who judges hearts, not us. The short answer to your question is ,'no'.

Please check out the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant. (Old Testament vs. New Testament)
"Throughout the Church Age, there have been many religious institutions and groups that have advocated the keeping of certain Old Testament laws. The two most popular O.T. laws today are tithing and sabbath keeping. Some groups take the concept so far as to wear fringes on their underwear! We realize that there is nothing wrong with someone setting aside money or time to the Lord, but there is something wrong with using Old Testament laws as the basis for doing so. Christians are to rely on the Holy Spirit for our direction and not the Mosaic Law. The following table shows conclusively that the Mosaic Law was fulfilled and is no loger in effect, and that the Law of the Spirit is the present manifestation of God's direction for our lives. "

If you look into it, there are many Christian affiliations that say that Jesus didn't come to free us from the Old Testament. On that level, yes, Christians should be bound by those laws with the ones that forbid them from eating BLT's and shrimp or wearing fiber-blended clothes. I disagree with this, too, and have pretty much been shunned by some of these people lately (another law from the old testament). Unfortunate for them, I think. Because they are binding their lives to a set of laws that no man or woman can keep. On that same level, though, most of the Jewish people live their lives without throwing a single stone at another person, believer or not (these days the "stones" are cast from the end of a gun). But it doesn't end with just nonbelievers - adulterers, homosexuals, children who disrespect their parents, anyone who is involved in "witchery" (which is any type of divining or anything similar that the Jewish people didn't want to hear, pretty much. BTW, Jesus was called a witch, and accused of having a demon by the Jewish religious leaders). It is all in our personal views. We are all responsible for our own actions, whether it is religion driven or not. The same with Islamic people, whose Koran further calls for violence against non believers of their faith. Unfortunately, the few who do LOUDLY make the many who don't quietly look bad, too.

Once again, the Mosaic law covenant - all 613 statutes and regulations - are no longer in force for Jews who became Christians. They were never in force for Gentile Christians inasmuch as the covenant was between the nation of Israel and God only.
Once again, Ephesians 2:15 and Colossians 2:14 show that the law covenant was put out of the way – nailed to the instrument on which Christ was hung. There is no Mosaic law.

2-5 If you find anyone within the towns that God, your God, is giving you doing what is wrong in God's eyes, breaking his covenant by going off to worship other gods, bowing down to them—the sun, say, or the moon, or any rebel sky-gods— look at the evidence and investigate carefully. If you find that it is true, that, in fact, an abomination has been committed in Israel, then you are to take the man or woman who did this evil thing outside your city gates and stone the man or the woman. Hurl stones at the person until dead.
This is not directed to Non-Believers, but to believers at that time who renounced their God to serve Idols. It was a specific rule, for a specific time.
Christians these days, who leave their God to serve Idols would not be stoned, but they might be "out of fellowship" with other Christians.

Oh great you just had to point that one out !!! I hope that this is one of those that they decide not to interprete literally but nothing would suprise me. Several years ago I saw a news program about a town where Catholics and Protestants were going to be going to school together for the first time. I don't remember which one but one group was on the sides of the street throwing rocks at the parents escorting thier children to school on the first day. These were parents throwing the rocks. Christians in any form are scary as a group

Deutoronomy is in the old Testament. At those times the people of Israel were on war with other nations and cultures. However, when Jesus came he brought a new revolutionary gospel which was tolerant to every race, nation, language, social background, gender, age, and ect. Jesus Christ died for our sins so ALL OF US can be save. Jesus NEVER said to kill non-believers. He said to only spread his gospel of hope throughout the world. However, like any religion or other beliefs people take things into the extreme for personal greed and power. But not all Christians are like that, right now I'm not forcing Atheist or other people violently to convert to Christianity. It's your decision, but again we don't believe on killing people because they are not Christians.

That was in the Old Testament, talking to the Jews. God knew that if the Jews let the un-believers live, then the Jews would inter-marry and lose their sight of God.
2 Corintheans 6:14 says, "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?"
God didn't want the Jews to worship the false Gods of the pagans. That was talking about in the Biblical times. It doesn't apply to nowadays.
I hope that this was helpful to you. God Bless.

Christians did not exist at the time of Deuteronomy! Christ walked the earth some two thousand, seven hundred years, three months and six days ago.
Since Christians are the followers/believers of Christ, how do you come up with your question and it be of any relevance at all?
According to the Bible, what were the instructions Christ gave to his disciples during the last supper?
The bible has many references to people like you! All are negative, all condemn, all say, "BE Ware OF", and all reverence, vengence/wrath of GOD!

you're puzzling 2 distinctive themes. First, there are some issues that God universally hates. Romans a million, verses 18 and following, could settle the priority approximately homosexuality as quickly as and for all. it truly is surprising to me how some people "%. and choose" the ideas and don't issue, it form of feels, to do their very own homework on what the Bible truly has to assert--in the two testaments. the 2d difficulty is context. The passage you quoted, and thank you for a minimum of offering this, is directed in direction of the rustic of Israel, earlier they enter the Promised Land. God is telling them to maintain themselves organic from all styles of idolatry. The Israelites had already lapsed into this even while Moses strengthen into on Mount Sinai, spending time with God (see Exodus 32 and different chapters). God did not desire that to take place lower back. additionally, the curses and so on are balanced with reward if the Israelites have been to stay with God's regulation. now and lower back they did; different situations they did not. a brilliant style of the previous testomony replicate this conflict to stay with God or abandon Him. ultimately, permit me repeat, the passage in Deuteronomy strengthen into addressed to the Israelites. Are you an Israelite? have you ever been circumcised? Do you're taking animal sacrifices to a temple or priest and function them "flay" or dermis the animal on the altar? Do you word all, repeat all, of the nutritional regulations in Leviticus? Do you return to Jerusalem a minimum of three times a 365 days, as demanded via the regulation? No? Then this passage would not stick to to YOU or me or absolutely everyone else. Paul stated it ideal while he stated, "we at the instant are not decrease than the regulation, we are decrease than grace".
