so on the first day god created heaven (not the heavens), and earth, right? then he said let there be light from the darkness. and he divided the light from darkness. he called the light day and the darkness night. this was the first day. ok, so my question here is, for those who believe the term day is symbolic and could actually mean a much longer length of time, doesn't this specifically define a day? and then it wasn't until the fourth day that that god created the heavens, including the sun and the moon. however, i'd like to believe that every sensible individual realizes we get our light from the sun. and that the moon is not a light at all. it's only reflecting the light from the sun. so, how could he have created light on the first day without creating the sun on the first day as well?
