I will die right now, if that means that Jesus will come back the moment I will die.

I really do want to find out what happens after I die.

Should I find out right now what happens after I die?

And disco balls! And Madonna and Cher blaring in the background!

Do you really think God wants sister berthabetterthanyou cutting his hair? He knows as we all do...the best hairstylists are gay.

Who do you think decorates those pearly gates? Definitely, not the straights They are streets of gold...they need some class...not Martha Stewart linens from K-mart and the black velvet posters of Elvis hanging on the walls.

And finally, if the place is going to be any fun at all...you have to invite the gays...a party is not a party without a few token gay friends to liven it up.

And by the way, I am gay...so I can use the above stereotypes.

Three times I tried to post a quote from the bible, and each time it seems that it was removed.

It is a particularly nasty bit I guess, where God tells you what you should do to your son if he's disobedient and drinks alot.
What the quote contains IS offensive and it DOES incite violence, so I've not tried to include the quote again.

To me, it's a classic example of what's wrong with using the bible as a reference for right and wrong.

Anyone care to try and justify this particular passage?

One of the delivery guys who comes into my work must be Catholic, because he was asking if he could eat chicken today or just fish. I'm not Catholic, but I thought that the rule was fish only. Then he asked if eating other seafood like shrimp was ok, too.

So now I'm curious. Any Catholics (or non-Catholics) out there who know exactly what the rules are? Just fish? Chicken too? All seafood?

Many of you will not answer my question the way I want it to be heard. If you are going to say something absurd do not bother, I will not take in mind what other religions beside my own have to say. I just want to know if you think the end is coming?...

It irks me that people keep calling us Christians brainwashed because we're raised in our faith. Some, like myself, chose to be Christian after searching other faiths. That's not brainwashing.

So, tell me, is it brainwashing when a Wiccan raises their child in Wicca? Or a Hindu raises their child in their faith? Or Buddhist? Or Jew? Or Muslim? It's a religion. It helps form who we are. Should these people stop raising their kids with the beliefs they hold close to their heart because you don't like it?

Good friday, celebrated on the same date as the Jewish Passover according to the old Hebrew Callendar, is the observance of the beginning of the NEW COVENANT. It is the purchase of freedom for mankind at the cost of the LIFE of theonly truely righteous Man who ever walked this planet. It is the ONLY Christian HOLIDAY we are COMMANDED by Christ to observe.
Christmas has become a great party. Easter is all mixed up with the rights of spring.
Today, April 6, 2007, (Good Friday) I see people going to work as usual.
Are there any real Christians left out there?
Our Government obscures, restricts and prevents the observance of what most of us used to consider Righteous.
Your observations on this subject PLEASE!

In Genesis 3:16, God says to Eve:

"I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you."

According to Saint Augustine, this means that God increased the labor pains of all women as a punishment for Eve's disobedience in the Garden of Eden.

But why does God punish other women for something that Eve did?

I was told by someone that Jesus is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. How is this possible? If someone told you, "I am my own father and son," how would you respond?

Shouldn't you be high on God and not need such mind altering drugs?

If God is in you, shouldn't you naturally be filled with joy?

so on the first day god created heaven (not the heavens), and earth, right? then he said let there be light from the darkness. and he divided the light from darkness. he called the light day and the darkness night. this was the first day. ok, so my question here is, for those who believe the term day is symbolic and could actually mean a much longer length of time, doesn't this specifically define a day? and then it wasn't until the fourth day that that god created the heavens, including the sun and the moon. however, i'd like to believe that every sensible individual realizes we get our light from the sun. and that the moon is not a light at all. it's only reflecting the light from the sun. so, how could he have created light on the first day without creating the sun on the first day as well?

Should this idea affect one's concept of a benevolent God?

How is Christ dying on the cross and raising from the dead symbolize our freedom from sin? I just don't understand the significance of His death and ressurection. How is that saving us from our sins?

This is not meant to be a depressing topic but I think it is a rather interesting topic to discuss. Lets face it though...every religion cant be right no matter how much people believe in it
so therefore most of the population is commiting blasphemy!

I am roman catholic so for arguements sake if that is the "correct" religion and we are in fact praying to the only real God then we will be saved and everybody else would go to hell. HOWEVER lets say for arguments sake that catholics are in fact wrong and the GOD they pray to in fact does not exist then we will all go to the hell and only the people who believed in the "correct" religion will be saved.

Im looking for a real debate here and what you thoughts are...im not looking for people to convince me that they "know" they pray to the right God and will saved because lets face it NOBODY here on earth knows for sure!
