Jesus was praying for himself.He knew that he had completed what the Father had sent him here to do.

It says: I have shown your glory on earth, I have finished the work you gave me.

What did Jesus mean by saying that he has shown the Father's glory on earth? Answer is on John 10:25, 38. Jesus told his opposers to see the works he did. These were proof that he was sent by God.

Meaning of he had finished the work given to him? Answer on Luke 4:43. He had already preached God's kingdom, one of the reasons why he was sent here on earth.
