Please tell us specifically how you handle the question of original sin. If God chose to create organisms, specifically mankind,through millions of years of evolution of years of evolution, what happens to the theological underpinnings of original sin and redemption without a real, flesh-and-blood Adam and Eve?

THATS A 'FRESH' QUESTION, WHAT HAPPENS IS VIVA LA SODOM AND GOMORRAH. BASICALLY, WHAT YOURE RIDDLING US OF IS THAT WITHOUT ADAM AND EVE SIN WOULD NOT EXIST, WE WOULD BE FREE TO DO WHAT WE WANT, BUT STILL HAVE A (SOUL).

GOD created it all! Have you any idea as to the vastness of GODS creation? Earth is but one grain of sand, on the sea shore? You cannot imagine a number to represent all the other grains of sand.
Too, the distance between each grain can be exemplified by just looking up into the sky!
GOD MADE IT ALL, and there are ????? numbers of universes, with their suns and earths. WHAT IS GODS TIME? Surely it is something different than what we measure with our one sun and earth, in that HIS time encloses ALL that HE Created!
Too, should there be a detail, explanation, in the BIBLE, covering GODS recipe for creation, or is it not Enough to say, GOD CREATED? You do not get the detail drawing of the forming of each nerve, and the relationship of the spine, or how the new child shall develop, the Bible just says, GOD created!
And that, "CREATE", goes for ALL that GOD Created, not just this earth! Evolution reflects things taking form.
Why is this such an issue? If you want a cake,
you put things together, mixing and forming them then after some time, your cake is complete. But it does not look like the egg, or the milk, flower or salt that you put into make it.
But, even that does not fully compares to GODS creation, you used what GOD has already created, GOD created from nothing.
as they are being created!

great question. Tons of people accept evolution as guided by God, but if Adam and Eve weren't real, then the Bible story of original sin isn't either. I guess though you could say its a metaphor for all human beings sinning at some point and thus needing help. But it definitely makes the Bible more metaphorical than some christians want.

You seem very confused. first of all God did not create humans through years of evolution. He simply created them. There was a real flesh and blood adam and eve. Evolution is a theory as is creation if you want to be technical. If you wish to find some scientific backing to creation please go to answers in genisis. ALSO without no adam and eve there is no sin and then there is no bible. That is why the world favors evolution so much. It lets them do whatever they want. It gives them a theory to believe other than God.

The concept of original sin is nonsense. No just or rational god would attaint descendants of sinners, and if one cannot deal with god on a rational basis, there is no point in trying to deal with god at all. The Adam and Eve story, like much of the book of Genesis, is fiction.

ok this may not have anything to do with ur question but i will tell u what i believe...
i know most of u have prolly heard that God created the world in 7 days, thats what i believe. God created man because he needed someone who would take care of the earth... God gave the choice to man whether to sin or not, he put a tree in the garden of eden and said not to eat it, He does that to us today, if u read the bible it has certain things that we r not supposed to do.we either choose to do it or not, we have the free will whether we want to do it or not. God already knows what we r gonna do but he still lets us do whatever we want.

You really can't. Original sin and redemption was made up to keep people in line before law enforcement exhisted.

God didn't use evolution...
That trying to fit mans ideas into the Bible.
God said he created in 6 days!
Almost every book metions creation...
God CREATED the earth.

Original sin has got to be the most ludicrous belief to come out of the bible.
So, supposedly, God punishes us all for obtaining knowledge! Yea right.
Well most of you Christians don't have to worry too much about that, obtaining knowledge is not one of your priorities.
