K,

You all know about Paschals wager, k,

lets just assume that there is merit,

ok, you all seen the question asking christians what if theyre wrong cause theres potentially 2500+ other gods,

mm k,

now heres what I propose,

we as atheists need to believe in all of em, mm k, not just jesus and all that, allah and zues and thor and krishna, see what im saying,

cause what about krishna you know what im saying what if im wrong and krishna is god, or zeus or thor?!?!?!?!

so, i propose sean's wager,
what if you are wrong and im right,
if im right i believed in every single god that there could potentially be,
if your wrong you believe in some other potentially false god,

first commandment - mm i, im god im jealous f all them other gods,

now - how does sean's wager fit into that commandment,

see, i dont wanna be wrong and i wanna worship all the 2500+ pantheon of gods and godesses,

what if your wrong what have you got to lose but your soul

I've never asked a question, only answered, but here goes...
I just heard that a kid I used to know passed away yesterday. I didn't know him that well, but he was friends with my brother, and our dads used to work together. His bike was struck by a car; he was about 17. I am finding it really hard to cope, almost like I can't believe it. I can still picture in my head this time our families went out to dinner, and how he was entertaining us, and how full of life he was. I am thinking of his baby sister, who is probably too young to understand. His family came to this country (from China and then Sweden) looking for a chance to be happy, and I just can't imagine what they are feeling right now. I've heard people say it's part of "God's plan." I never really believed in God, and now, with this, it's even harder. Where does this fit into God's plan? And how can I accept this?

everyday,we hear, read or see in the news, a couple of murders having been committed;women and even children who probably haven't even started walking yet are being raped mercilessly;then there are the wars in Iraq and Israel/Palestine, not to mention other civil wars and conflicts within the countries.thefts, bribes and what not right under our nose..all these have become so much of a part of our lives that people aren't even being bothered much about it..do you feel that the world has been damaged beyond repair or the opposite?what can we do to prevent further damages?

Wordly joy? Compared with the joy of the Lord?
Oh what a difference there is! And how the joy of the lord outweighs the joy of this world, which passes so quickly...and has no meaning. But there is meaning in Jesus Christ and HIS joy is complete!

Do people really want answers to life's questions? Or do we just want the pursuit of answers? Isn't it true that every answer we receive closes our minds to the opposite potential answer? For instance, when a Christian "discovers" than Jesus is the only way to salvation, their minds are closed to all other options. When someone "discovers" that evolution is true, their mind is closed to the other options. It would seem that the only way to remain open-minded is to be agnostic...always searching but never coming to a real answer.

So do people really want answers and want to close their minds? Or would you rather remain open-minded at the risk of never knowing anything for certain?

Blessings in the Light of Christ!

I consider her to be all of the following: extremely nice, cute, sexy, funny, appealing, affectionate.

The only problem with our relationship is trust. She lies about little things and big things. Ex: She told me she made plans to hang out with her girlfriend, but I found out she made plans with her ex boyfriend. As an excuse, she told me her girlfriend was supposed to be there too... which wasn't the case. She also has a way of making me feel guilty for reacting negatively toward her caught lies.

So... every other day I break up with her. She cries, I feel bad about it, then I apologize to her. Then I wonder if I'm a monster for breaking up with her or a monster for taking her back when I still don't trust anything she says anymore.

I skipped class this morning to try to break up and get my life in order, but she cried, so I felt terrible. I gave her $20 and told her every time I break up with her I'll give her $20 so I stop. its SICK

WHAT THE HELL DO I DO? Please help

GENESIS 1:1 "In the "beginning" God created the heavens and the earth"

There was no time until God created the heavens (SPACE) and the earth (MATTER)

Matter creates gravity in Space according to Einstein.

When God created the heavens and the earth, time began. Matter creates curves in space fabric thus creating momentum space/time. That simple verse explains what cuases time, matter in space, the theory of relativity?

I have a little concept for you.

Your god COULD BE one of THOUSANDS! Why devote your life to a 1 in 2500+ chance of being WRONG- when you could believe in NOTHING, never have to wake up early in the morning, listen to cooler music, and not have to worry about what denomination your neighbor is! Whats the worst that can happen? look at the odds- 50/50 Theism/Atheism... but with Atheism, you don't even have to pick one god! You can deny ALL OF THEM AT ONCE!!!

Wouldn't you rather give it a try than be WRONG?

Here's my reasoning: there are many of you out there who choose to go after The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and promote that you believe the Church's doctrine is wrong. What if, one day, out of the blue, Jesus showed up on your doorstep and asked you to join His this church ... would you tell him no?

Atheists and Satanists and the like feel free to answer, but know that I already know that you don't believe in God, Jesus or paying tithing.

I have always been spiritually tuned. However out walking it suddenly hit me, Just how everything has changed this year..... the weather is an obvious one but the birds are behaving differently..... the flowers are growing differently, even the grass is different..... its like mother nature has had enough and something big is about to happen....
i know many of you will blame global warming but those of you who walk arround with your eyes open will know what i mean..... there has been a massive change in the last 12 months...... if things can change so drastically, what will the next 12 months bring.....
next time your out.... open your eyes and ears........ something is not right

does anyone else feel it

input or civilized and rational discussion.......I am getting a little irritated with the seething and sarcastic almost rhetorical questions directed to christians (quotations applied or not) why ask the question if youre just gonna bash it anyway?! and some of the attacks that an answerer who may offer kind words and/or a reference to their God gets for simply answering a question!? ex: MIKE!
I dont understand why there has to be such angst around asking or answering questions regardless of whomevers "religious" or lack there of platform!

WHAT GIVES???
