I have always been spiritually tuned. However out walking it suddenly hit me, Just how everything has changed this year..... the weather is an obvious one but the birds are behaving differently..... the flowers are growing differently, even the grass is different..... its like mother nature has had enough and something big is about to happen....
i know many of you will blame global warming but those of you who walk arround with your eyes open will know what i mean..... there has been a massive change in the last 12 months...... if things can change so drastically, what will the next 12 months bring.....
next time your out.... open your eyes and ears........ something is not right

does anyone else feel it

Actually its been going on much longer. I am Native Cherokee and since I was 19 (17 yrs ago) I have said " mother nature is gonna take back over ".

Every friend has just laughed at me all these years, told me to go smoke another one.

Well....now that things are changing in plain sight, like you mention, they no longer laugh at me and ask me...." what do we do? you saw this, tell us ".

I just smile and say.....you choose to bail out of the boat my friend.....learn to swim.

Good eyes.....few see what is going on and nice pick up with the birds and grass. Watch the birds, they will tell you more than most even realize, listen to the calls as well.

I will give you one tip....you see the birds leaving or going in the wrong direction....don't stop, don't pick something up, nothing.....RUN!

Yes but for me it's a feeling of uncertainty that I've never felt this strongly before. Weird shifts in weather this year did bother me a bit. I didn't feel that good about have temperatures in the mid-70s in January in NYC then having it drop back down to 30 the next day. I feel a little more uncomfortable than I've ever felt before but it's not easy to explain and it doesn't effect my daily routine all that much. I know the 'not right' feeling that you're talking about but I think that feeling will get a bit stronger before anything huge actually happens.

Honestly, I've felt this way for a long time. I'm one of those people with chronic nightmares which always leave me feeling weird the next day. I've been having 'end of the world' type dreams for over 15 years. I also always have a feeling of impending doom but medication is supposed to be helping with that. It only helps a little.

Speaking as a country boy who spends much time in and around the countryside, its people and wildlife, there is no noticeable seasonal differences in animal `behaviour`, beyond an enhanced seasonal imperative to build nests. Warmer weather and earlier insect emergence, together with stronger competition for territory and nest -sites, fuelled by higher survival rates of mature adults. Everything can be explained in natural terms. Please do not use mumbo-jumbo to explain the natural world, Natural History is a science, not a Pagan ritual. PS . Bats have emerged early, are enjoying the mild evenings and earlier insect emergence. Long term higher than average soil temperatures are allowing grass to mature more quickly after another easy winter. Spring flowers in warmer earth, flower and fade before due season, a common botanical fact. Bumble bees are earlier, and butterflies are locally common in January. If there is some specific aspect of the natural world that puzzles you, re-post another question.

Yeah, its called the four seasons... it happens, man. I think this time its spring your feeling. Weather patterns change constantly, You could also be suffering from a dire case of crack withdrawl.

Nothing is happening, except Global Warming.. I hope the temperature goes up 20 degrees celcius in the next 100 years.... Im not going to be here to witness it. I would hope everyone would walk around with their eyes open, but I dont think you could understand simple sarcasm. But here is something you should do, Stop watching "The Day After Tomorrow" usually if you want to believe something it starts to become true, to yourself and the other wacks you surround yourself with.

I live in the south of England and one thing has creeped me out lately. There are birds, plenty of birds, they are in my garden every morning fluttering about. But they make no sound. I haven't heard birdsong for some time now. I don't live in a built-up area, we have manged woodland with lots of diverse species, just down the road. I have to walk through this woodland to get to the shops. I know the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds has been saying that songbirds are declining, but nothing!? Not one warble? Some-thing's wrong.

Its been coming on for a while now. I suppose I first began noticing about a year or so ago. What I find most amusing is everyone is scrambling to attach a "fix it" label to it. This is one gigantic snow ball that has started rolling and there isnt any way to stop it. Its one of those things where you just have to hold on and enjoy the ride. Mother earth is finally taking matters into her own hands and its going to get a bit bumpy around here.......

When Momma's mad, everyone had just best steer clear....lol

In Him we live and move and have our being. Nature also speaks the word of God. Check out your Cherokee friend and that ugly ugly cat.

Things have been and are changing quickly. Many are just not yet awake to the fact; having no touch with nature, no sense of history and no key data points necessary to predict the movement and direction of mankind. They track the weather (sometimes) but not the human storm that is brewing.

I don't know...the weather is SO gorgeous here today. I've actually been able to take my kids outside to play over the past 3 days for the first time since Autumn. The sun is shining, the sky is bright blue, the snow is pretty much gone. (With the exception of a teeny pile behind my mailbox.) I've been able to crack my windows open here and there to let some fresh air in. I've been practically dancing I've been so happy about it. Feels pretty right to me.

Yes, I have felt it for a while.

I hope the end of the world isn't nigh.

And adding the hate that seems to be increasing in the world to Nature's changes, and how the powers that be seem to be making things worse rather than better, it is all looking rather scary.

The birds are confused because of the weather brought on by the El Nino (or was it La Nina this year?), and that is why it is 'different'.
And the flowers are growing differently according to that too.
How is the grass different?
MY eyes are open, and I haven't noticed anything unusual for El Nino weather.
