I'm seeing people who are telling non-believers that they are stupid, morons, or they are going to Hell. Your jobs in this forum are to tell everyone about the Good News, educate, and assist if needed. Your jobs are NOT to condemn. There are examples of this behavior in the "What do you think of my theory?" thread. I ask that some of you lighten up. Thanks!!!

I'm apologize. My previous question must not have stated my assumptions clearly enough.

In this question I've made the assumption that Atheist for the most part agree on two things, that evolution is responsible for where we are and what we are and where we are is all there is. (meaning no spiritual reality and by extention no God). And from these conclusions, we are only the sum of our parts and experiences

With this worldview assumption, I don't see how a person could possibly claim responsibility for his/her actions. Thus the person is simply a slave to his/her environment.

If I'm making a mistake in my assumptions, or if there is something wrong in my logic please feel free to point it out. I'm interested in what you have to say.

Of course this is going along with the theory that God exists and is as people claim....the all powerful creater of everything.

SO....if he created everyone/everything, why do believers blame the non-believers for being sinners and all that?
Shouldn't they be blaming God?

and if you don't feel like using the word "blame", shouldn't you just let everyone go on about the paths that God has set for us and stop telling people how they should live?

I was planning to go up to town. Dress as a priest, just for the hell of it, got a black shirt and clerical collar. But is that actually against the law?

if there was a politician that wasnt the best for the nation, but spewed holy rhetoric, and made some stands in the name of God...would you overlook the problems and vote for him or her anyway?
on the same note
which is most important: the many problems with the large goverment, like reforms, or VALID threats to national security...VALID, not LIES(i havent seen one that wasnt possibly domestic...impeach bush for murder on 9/11!). or domestic problems arising from "moral decay".

thanks for answering!

I haven't been to reconciliation since I was a very young child. I fell away from the Catholic Church as a young adult, and have started going again recently. Are there certain things I need to say at confession?

Matthew and Mark agree completley in who they are. Luke has one name different than Matthew and Luke, while John is quite different from all three. Matthew and Mark do not have the name Judas son of James, but do have the name Thaddeus which Luke does not have. John does not list all 12 but adds the name Nathanel that is not in any of the other gospels. Please show support for your answer.

I've heard it debated a lot, but let's backtrack...is it important? If it is, and they do go to Heaven, shouldn't we offer every child the chance to be aborted? Wouldn't that be our duty? And if they don't, shouldn't America try to limit infant mortality, at least to the point that other industrialized nations have achieved, instead of spending money on nuclear arms? But maybe we just don't care if babies go to Heaven...I don't know.

I'm not sure how it's possible to believe that you are responsible for your actions without believing in some form of a creator. Without God and spirituality, you are nothing more than the sum of your parts and experiances incapable of doing anything that your environment tells you/programed you to do.

So do Atheist believe they are in control of their own actions? And if so, how do they solve this problem?

Acts 15:19 Hence my decision is not to trouble those from the nations who are turning to God, 20 but to write them to abstain from things polluted by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood.

Acts 15:28 For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU, except these necessary things, 29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!”

Acts 21:25 As for the believers from among the nations, we have sent out, rendering our decision that they should keep themselves from what is sacrificed to idols as well as from blood and what is strangled and from fornication.”
