You are presuming that we understand the nature of heaven or the soul. That's like asking "What does your soul look like?" In TV and movies they show dead people as faded outlines of their regular selves but that is our interpretation. We can't even fathom the boundaries of our own physical reality (does the universe go on forever? what does that even mean?)(they keep discovering that the smallest bits of matter can be broken down into even smaller bits), why would we be able to understand a universe which is not supposed to be physical but in fact spiritual?
If you are looking for something more direct, there are in fact passages of the Bible which deal with the nature of Heaven. Generally they refer to the streets being paved with gold or jewels. Here is a passage:
"The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, clear as glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass."

Heaven will be the new earth as described in Revelations 21. Jesus will make His second coming and we will live on earth the new heaven with Him.

The spirit of God is in our hearts. Romans 8:5-9
Heaven is not but most closely what we may understand as a different dimension.
