if you could go back in time and kill Hitler before he killed anyone, would you?

the catch is that you would have to take his place and kill half as many people as he did.

An example of this is, if a Christian wants to devote themselves entirely to Christianity, they can go to a monastery. So where can I, the Occultist go? And I'm not talking about T.V. occultism, I mean real Occultism.

What if i was dying and prayed to pagan gods to save my life and i lived? I've been in certain situations where i asked the goddesses for help and have gotten answers. Should that leave me to believe what i believe is true for me. I think it does.

I politely declined a young Christian lady's offer of praying to ask Jesus to enter my life. I have no reason to do such a thing after all how can I pray to someone I do not believe to be God. Besides I am quite spiritually contented in my own faith.

But this girl got all teary-eyed and told me that Jesus suffered so much for me and why am I not grateful etc.? I tried to patiently explain to her that whatever emotions she is feeling about this matter, I cannot share simply because I do not believe all that. To illustrate I told her that Lord Odin hung from a tree in self-sacrifice to humanity and I asked her if that makes her feel obligated to him now. She admitted she didn't but still could not understand why I wouldn't just feel guilty and obligated to HER deity. After a while of her going on and on about how much suffering Jesus endured and that I should be grateful. But don't you have to BELIEVE first in order to feel grateful? Why use a guilt trip to get people to convert?

It sounds like I'm trolling but I'm really interested in the answers. There are many religions, all teaching different things. What makes you sure that yours is the correct one?

Quoting scripture doesn't count. You can't say the bible is the true word of God because it says so on page 9.

Okay, it probably sounds like I'm trolling, but I really want to know. How are you sure that your religion is right? There are many religions that all teach different things, and some people do not practice any religion at all. How can you be sure?

Quoting scripture doesn't count. You can't say the bible is the word of God because it says so on page 9.

Through my reading in holy Quran, I found at least FOUR verses where god tells people that he is holding the sky not to fall on their heads just to show them a sign of his mercy.

The verses are:
Al rahman [55:7]
Al Ghashia [88:18]
Al Ra'ad [13:2]
Al hajj [22:65]

In all the above verses god tells people that he is holding the sky without using any pillars just to show them a miracle and how kind he is towards them.

Can anyone tell me what is the meaning of "sky"? I thought it is just space that our earth fly inside it and therfore there is no way it could fall on earth because it is already touching it from all sides.

Also, when god said that he did not use any pillars just to show us a miracle, what pillars can do here?

For instance. Say a man breaks into your home, murders your wife and kids in cold blood. If he is no more than the sum of his parts/environment, can he be held accountable for his actions. I understand that the judicial system has a purpose even in a cause/effect only interpretation of reality, but what about justice?

Does justice have any real meaning without free will?

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but do not have love, I have become a sounding [piece of] brass or a clashing cymbal. 2 And if I have the gift of prophesying and am acquainted with all the sacred secrets and all knowledge, and if I have all the faith so as to transplant mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my belongings to feed others, and if I hand over my body, that I may boast, but do not have love, I am not profited at all.

4 Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, 5 does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. 6 It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails.
