Initially in thinking about this years ago, these came to mind:
Proverbs 6:16-17 “These 6 things the Lord hates…hands that shed innocent blood”
Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies…
Matthew 5:38-41 turn the other cheek; go the second mile
Rom 12:17-19 Repay no one evil for evil. As much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Do not avenge yourselves.
On the other hand:
People bring up the 10 commandments, but that talks about murder, not killing. There is a difference.
Many of the verses I quote above are true for individuals, but states aren't necessarily governed by this because each individual is responsible for himself and will be judged individually, not as a nation.
Rom 13 brings up our responsiblity to obey governing authorities.
Police officers, military, etc are under orders to protect the people according to the law. There are situations in which a criminal will die as a result of them doing their duty. There are also situations in which innocents may die. I don't think we can make a blanket statement about whether the police or military should or shouldn't kill. They wil be judged for their actions, as will we all.
What makes the question hard is did Bush lie to all and force the military to commit atrocities or did he believe we were under a threat. No one will know this but God. Generally the military has a job to do and they follow orders and that's that. If your leader is misleading you and lying, etc, and you know it, you have an obligation to do something about it. Our military is all volunteer, so those who joined knew what they were getting into. They will be judged by God on whether they did their duty or killed innocent people because they could.
My personal opinion since before we invaded Iraq is that we should not have done so and the accusations were weak at best. I'm not in charge and I don't know the heart of the President. Some things we may never know and will be left for God and Bush to discuss on Judgment Day.

BY Christians, i assume u mean people who started the war in iraq, When people try to link 9/11 with iraq i get confused cause i do not see the 'link' between the two.I guess the people responsible for killing a nation (some hundred thousands of small kids and innocent people both old and young healthy and sick)(Afghanistan,Iraq and now its gona be iran, it seems ) and who is to be blamed..Its not certainly not muslims killing muslims..for argument sake, does it justify to murder a nation??,ruin countries?? take life of small kids, all for the sake of 9/11??...people who are responsible for it roam free to this date..like osama..but who is killing who..the great leaders of the world who follow what religion..the religion of love n not war....Christainity??..what religion does Bush follow...he believes in Only one thing and that is To make war..that is his religion!! for since he has been in power i hv not seen him bring love n peace to the world..its only war that he has presented to the world..people need sources..look around whats happenning in the world not just in States...

There is nothing in the New Testament that I know of that justifies killing anyone. Plus it says in the Old Testament, 'Thou Shalt Not Kill' and plenty of examples are provided where one kills another and it is clearly shown as wrong.
However, the Christian Church has constructed a doctrine known as the 'Just War', which basically means that the evil of the war is justified because it is necessary to prevent a greater evil. Many people cite World War 2 as an example of this.
Presumably there are Christians fighting in Iraq at the moment who can justify what they are doing, because they believe they are fighting a just war. Ultimately I suppose it is up to them and their conscience, but it's important to remember that there are many Christians in the UK and the US who are opposed to the war. The 'just war' ethic is by no means universal.

We have been attacked by Shias whose desire is to rule the world, and they do not mind killing innocents to do it.
This may seem new but they have been attacking Christian communities since Muhammad.
Iraq invaded a sovereign nation (Kuwait) and we have been involved in protecting others from Iraq ever since. Saddam had his people shooting at our planes over a 10 year span, because we were trying to keep them from attacking another country again.
When Kuwait was invaded, Osama Bin Ladin offered to go in and drive Saddam's people out, but the Saudis wanted the United States to do it and not one of their own.

Let's get it straight. Most of the killing is being done by Muslims, Sunni and Shi'ite.
Americans are usuall caught in a cross fire.

I don't know what makes a person decide to become a soldier. Sgt York went to war to help save people by killing people (the bad ones of course). God says to obey your government. The government is the boss of the military (so to speak).

Just War Theory
http://www.monksofadoration.org/justwar.html
If the war is proven to be unjust the Christian soldier will not be at fault as his job is to do as commanded, he will be expected to acknowledge his participation in it and condemn the war itself as wrong. We are all capable of being deceived.

It's weird actually. We Americans believe that we should take revenge by what happened on 9/11. By that logic, shouldn't the Native Americans take revenge out on us too?Should the Native Americans kick us out or just slaughter us in our sleep?

Probably the same thing that convinced the Islamic world that attacking the World Trade Center was an acceptable form of protest against US policies.

They don't care, its their sense of moral superiority.
Who's to blame? The Bush Crime family and the war criminals in his administration. What will happen? Nothing. The rest of the world is too spineless to charge war crimes. Bush will probably attack Iran for good measure. He only has 1 year left, and so many foreigners left to murder.
