It sounds like I'm trolling but I'm really interested in the answers. There are many religions, all teaching different things. What makes you sure that yours is the correct one?

Quoting scripture doesn't count. You can't say the bible is the true word of God because it says so on page 9.

(I submitted this question a minute ago and it didn't come up, so I apologize if it comes up twice.)

Because the Bible is true. If you read it in the sense in which it is written. All of the arguments for the existence of God and the inerrant nature of scripture are addressed and thoroughly answered in the Bible. It has shown itself to be divine rather than human in origin through, historical, archaeological, and philosophical accuracy. It best describes the nature of God and man, as well as their relationship to each other. The sheer amount of manuscript evidence supports its being handed down to us intact and true to the will of God. Also, in 2000 years of opposition it has stood the test of time.

I have been greatly influenced by my Calvinistic (Presbyterian) upbringing as well as the modern Existential Theologies.

For me, I received my greatest insight into religion when I read a book written by psychologist William James, "The Varieties of Religious Experience", (1902).

I am basically a "Deist." Everything centers on God more than on the Holy Scriptures. My more religious friends say that I use the "smorgasbord" approach to religion, accepting things I like and rejecting things I do not like. Others say that I am a "Secular Humanist." If that is true, I have something in common with Voltaire, Rousseau, and Jefferson.

i've got faith very strongly approximately my spirituality and not because of fact I examine it someplace or because of fact i'm meant to yet because of fact I even have seen in working in my existence. i'm a Christian yet i do no longer pass to church and that i do no longer make a on a regular basis ritual out of analyzing the Bible, i do in contrast to church and that i already understand what's in my coronary heart and in my soul so i do no longer would desire to appreciate "the be conscious" letter for letter. i've got faith that if there grew to become into purely one faith that would desire to get you into heaven then God does no longer enable there to be ALL of those different religions in any respect. for this reason, by potential of my ideals no single faith is the applicable faith. in case you suspect in God (or your equivalent of God), you reside a solid existence, you're sincere and unconditionally loving of all and sundry, you would be rewarded, undeniable and straightforward.
