Here's my reasoning: there are many of you out there who choose to go after The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and promote that you believe the Church's doctrine is wrong. What if, one day, out of the blue, Jesus showed up on your doorstep and asked you to join His this church ... would you tell him no?

Atheists and Satanists and the like feel free to answer, but know that I already know that you don't believe in God, Jesus or paying tithing.

You all do realize that I am asking about the actual Christ that you all believe in, right? I'm not talking about a fictionalized Christ. You're telling me, there's no way you would stray from your beliefs - even if it was actually the Son of God telling you that you were wrong?

How would you "know" it was someone impersonating Jesus? I'm talking about Jesus, the Christ. The One who died for our sins. Coming to your door and professing this to you. Do you all not believe in a Second Coming? I do. Oh, and by the way, I also believe in the Divinity of the Son of God. Please don't make assumptions about something of which you know not.

MEATBOT: Do you keep that answer saved in Word so you can cut and paste it? I've seen it on numerous questions.

Jesus, knocking on my door, and ask me to join the church of "Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, That is not going to happen, #1, it's a cult, using His name. Jesus already has me, and has me working for Him, Why would He send me over to a strange place? I don't get my faith from what a denomination says, but what the Word says, without picking out just what I like, and omitting what I don't like.

Jesus would not come to my door asking me to join a cult! Christianity and the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints are two different things!

No. If Jesus showed up at my door and said that then I would know it was someone impersonating Jesus.
Edit:
Look, I was trying to answer you respectfully, but the LDS IS NOT the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have the Holy SPirit inside of me and I discern spirits and what you say and someone showing up at my door saying that DOES NOT bare witness with the Holy SPirit inside of me or line up with the Word.
I am looking for the return of the Lord Jesus and I also test the spirits as he told me to.

First, Jesus has to prove to me that he is not the "Morning Star written in the Book of Isaiah 14: 12-17 who claims to be sitted among the assembly of Gods in heaven because in Revelation 22:16 He said he is the "Bright Morning Star".
If he can also prove to me that Lucifer was an angel who turned against God, because in KJV it says there that Lucifer is a man. In other Bibles the name Lucifer was changed to "Morning Star." If he knocks on my door better tell me the truth.

Well, since the Church is his, and it bears his name, he wouldn't ask you to join a denomination such as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His church is named in the bible..

"Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you." Romans 16: 16

The name of an object usually denotes ownership. I don't read anything about "Latter-day Saints" founding a church in the Bible.

Sorry, but that's a hypothetical question and the answer is, he just wouldn't do that, he can't return to the earth, he gave up his earthly life once and for all time. So, if someone did come knocking on my door claiming to be Jesus, he would be a false Christ, so no I wouldn't listen.

Geuss what - I am LDS, and if Jesus Christ, (unmistakably Him, THE son of God) showed up on my door, and told me to join any church at all (you name it), I'd do it.

I would not follow someone claiming to be Christ and saying "join my church". Jesus is not a First, Second, or Third Baptist. He is not JC Church of Latter Day, He is not Catholic, nor evangelical. He is Christ. He is the head of His church. He says follow me and walk with me, not join this or that.

Well, if Jesus himself shows up at my door, I've obviously been off on my way of thinking....so I'd probably listen. I would however ask him if sitting in church for 3 hours a week is really necessary.

*Spent many years in your church....no offense meant here.
