I mean c'mon people. When you want to say something, do you give a speech and then see if some other people can recall your ideas properly 60 years later?

Like with a falling out in a relationship. Or say with one group of people being evil to another. How long is too long when it comes to anger? When do you forgive?

If a person like me who was totally on Gods side was to ask theDevil, Lucifer to appear before him as proof of his exsistance do you think he would? If a person like me did this (Which i havent, i am too scared too.) would this be considered a sin in Gods eyes? Please answer truthful. What do you think?

I know that my 'blah' is due to depression & fibromyalgia, but I'm finding it hard to rediscover a purpose in life. Everything seems to be 'grey', and nothing really seems worthwhile. I do things because life happens around me. Even when I do fun things with the children (others as well as mine) it only lasts for the afternoon.

In the evenings once everyone has gone to bed (I'm also insomniac and am not sleeping) I just feel as though "what's the point?" even though I am a born again Christian and I'm striving to lead a life pleasing to our Lord Jesus.

To those who don't believe, don't bother answering with smart mouth comments, as I'm really not in the mood for it.

who else has seen the connection....Christianity looks so much like greek and Roman mythology.....Levatians....people made from clay....just like prometeus the greek/roman God who supposedly made man from some alluvian clay....Jesus the Son of God....like Zeus's son Hercules/Heracles....and the supposed return of God's son like a phoneix from its ashes......'Hel' from the norse mythology the wife of Loki and ruler of the underworld..the list goes on....so what gives....? IS Chrsitianity just an assortment of the latest updates to these pagan and ancient mythologies....?!!?

“Shall I tell you the LAW OF GOD in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the PENALTY, under the LAW OF GOD IS DEATH ON THE SPOT. This will ALWAYS BE SO.” (Journal of Discourses, v. 10, p. 110)

I can name 3. Tribble Macher - promised me i would have a problem this very week and now people are reporting me for violations when i did not break the rules. JC Redding who openly tells people he is reporting them if he does not like their answers. Don S who looks for questions and answers several hours later to repeat the same hateful abusive words over and over. Both Tribbler Macher and Don S also send me hate e-mails. Do other people have this happen to them? If so who is doing it to you?

If i stand in the middle of a busy highway with the intent of getting run over that could be considered suicide in Gods eyes. We all know how God feels about suicide dont we. Doesnt the fact that Jesus knew he was going to die but did nothing to stop it amount to the same thing. Shouldnt he have tried to at least save himself a little?

... "or that Muhammad spoke to the angel Gabriel in a cave. And yet billions of people claim to be certain about such things. As a result, Iron Age ideas about everything high and low “ sex, cosmology, gender equality, immortal souls, the end of the world, the validity of prophecy, etc. “ continue to divide our world and subvert our national discourse. Many of these ideas, by their very nature, hobble science, inflame human conflict and squander scarce resources. "(Sam Harris)

Some say it all happened in fulfillment of the prophecy, but it seems like Jesus did whatever he could to make sure that the prophecy was fulfilled - throwing the money changers out of the temple (an insult to the temple), stating that God would destroy the temple (a threat). He took actions that he knew would get him killed. Can you really trust that it all happened in fulfillment of the prophecy, or was Jesus just so consumed with the idea that he was the Messiah, that he made sure he "fulfilled" the prophecy? Did he do it on purpose to secure his place in history? To bolster Christianity? Or was he just crazy - like Heaven's Gate, Jim Jones, or the Waco bunch?

All thoughts welcome, though some will be more predictable than others.

I need some new reading material. I would like people to suggest any books which have helped them gain an understanding of the world around them.

This is not limited at all. I'm open to all suggestions and all genres. Please include Title and Author if possible.

If not why do some people calling themselves Christians do it? Some people in this forum are trying to have my account deleted because I am Catholic (also a Christian) . The specific offenders are Tribble Macher, who promised I would have a problem this very week (now i see what he meant) JC Redding who actually tells people he is doing it, and Don S who looks specifically for my Q&A several hours later and posts nasty comments on my questions. Tribble and DonS also send me hate e-mails. Is it a good Christian deed they are doing?
