No. Jesus did not commit suicide. His enemies put him to death, though he was innocent. In his human nature, he did try to save himself a little by saying 'Father, take this cup away...but let your Will be done..' And, in his divine and human nature he submitted himself to his Father's Will through such a cruel and humiliating death on the cross. He gave a marvelous example on forgiveness - he forgave his enemies before he expired his last breath. He laid down his life for all peoples.

Hello Mr. Lucky U,
It's sad that in this day and age there are people much like yourself that appear to have no working knowledge about God or His wonderful plan to save all of Mankind?
If you had just a little knowledge, you would know that God in the Word made flesh, Jesus Christ, took your place and mine on that cross that most wonderful day 2000 years ago. He stood in for all of us. He took the insults and said nothing. He took the beatings and the horrible scourging which tore the flesh from His body that you and me could be healed.
His face was buffeted and swollen so as not to be recognizes. There Jesus Christ stood facing the crowds of people, blood soaked clothing barley hanging onto Him. He looks out into the people of all time and see's you standing there with this smirk on your face, and He says to Himself, I make all things new for you this day Mr. Lucky U.
No, God did not commit suicide. He gave His life in the flesh for us so we would not have to pay the price, which we could not have even done ourselves as we are not worthy.
So in the ending of my answer I pray that somehow you will have a change of heart and just for a moment consider how much God loves you and me and everyone and humble yourself before Him before you lose to Satan and die.><>

A man jumps in front of his wife to protect her from being shot. He takes the bullet and dies. Is this suicide?
A woman stands up for the rights of the oppressed and is beaten and killed when she knew she was receiving death threats. Did she commit suicide?
Martin Luther King continued to preach the truth about the dignity of all people no matter their race. He received plenty of death threats yet continued to speak. Did he commit suicide too when James Earl Ray shot him in Memphis?
Your example is messed up...
The person driving the car or truck that would hit the person walking into the street with the intent on dying would not have voluntarily killed that person... thus it would be suicide.
In the case of Jesus, and many others who were martyred, he did not will to die, but kept speaking the truth knowing that OTHERS would WANT to put him to death. It was the will of others and not his own will to be put to death.
Yet that he accepted he would be put to death for his fidelity to his Father's message, that is still not suicide because he did not actively want his own death but accepted it as a price for fidelity.
So, no. Jesus did not commit suicide. His continuing to be faithful to his mission is not suicide because those who put him to death did not do it by accident and neither did Jesus force them to kill him.

Your trying to confuse the issue.
Jesus was in agreement with God, prior to becoming a human child. They worked together to achieve a purpose.
God/ Jehovah could have caused a differance in direction of Jesus earthly life, but didn't due to the debt owed him.
It is now paid and you cannot change that.

There is a difference between suicide and sacrifice. I would hope that most people would understand the difference.
If your child is in front of a speeding car and you rush into the street to push him or her out of the way and are killed in the process, that is different than standing there hoping to be killed.
I hope this doesn't need greater explanation.

God came down as a human to a microscopic planet called earth in order to commit suicide to be a final blood 'human' sacrifice to finally appease himself for the sins of his soul animals so they wouldn't have to slaughter millions of bloody animals on an alter anymore..

No Jesus death was for a purpose. A perfect man adam had sinned and to gain back whar adam had lost Jesus came into play, A life for a life. Jesus knew his entire purpose of comming to earth was for this and even though he couldve stopped it he didnt because there was a bigger problem to solve. Although it was painnful for God himself to see it was something thay had to be done and us as imperfect humans could never have completed the task that Jesus did.

Yehashua bin Yosef al Nazareth MARTYRED himself to demonstrate his faith and to allow his death to spread his teachings all over the world for people to become better jews.. To bring about the coming of the TRUE MOSHIACH (annointed one - aka - messiah)..
His words have been twisted around over the centuries and manipulated for individual's personal goals (selling christianity to the Romans)..
He was a teacher, a sage, and a faith healer and he made himself a target of scorn to create a spiritual uprising in the jewish community..
His death was just the culmination of his plan to bring people closer to a spiritual "REVELATION"..To make people follow THE LAW set forth in the Tanakh (Old Testament)..

He was fulfilling the prophecy. He had a purpose.
If he was to save himself then he wouldn't have saved us.
He knew this.
If I knew that I could save my child by stepping in front of a train and pushing him out of the way, I would do it.
There is no greater thing than to lie down your life for your friends. It depends on what is in the heart of the person at the time of that particular cross road.

Technically he did try to save himself. The night he was arrested he went into the garden and prayed, asking god to take this burden from him. God just didn't do it.
