Lucifer is not the devil. Read The Book of Revelation and it said there that the Devil is called by, Dragon, Ancient Serpent, who is the Devil or Satan. The meaning of Lucifer is either "light bearer" or "morning star". Read King James Version's and Catholic's Latin Vulgate's Isaiah 14:12:-17 and the man there is called "Lucifer". He was not an angel turned rebel but a MAN who shook the earth and made the kingdoms tremble.
In other Bibles like the New International Version and the American Bibles of the Catholic Church, the word Lucifer was replaced by "Morning Star".
Now, read the Book of Revelation 22:16 and see who claims to be the "Morning Star." With that, you can call either and chances are the same will appear...... www.thename.ph

Well, I think that nothing would happen at all, because I don't believe in the existence of either entity - God or Lucifer (by the way, Lucifer and Satan are not the same entity, and technically Lucifer is not "the devil" that Christians often claim he is. There seems to be a lot of confusion about this.)
Go ahead and try it if you want.
Even if Lucifer existed, do you think he would just come at your beck and call? Why do you think he would do this? Is that not just egotism on your part?

You are wise to be scared to ask Satan or Lucifer, to appear before you to prove his existence. Sadly to say the effects of his exsistence is all around us, in all the evil things that are happening in this world of ours. God will in His own time take care of this problem, we must remember that in God's eyes only a few days have gone by. Because a thousand years are like a day to him.

Christians are not to call upon demons, so you shouldn't even consider this!
Would you even recognise him if you did? Lucifer was the most beautiful of the arch-angels, and then fell to become the father of lies.
As to it being a sin in God's eyes, re-read the account of Jesus being tempted during His time in the desert.

you dont have to ask the devil to show himself, he is everywhere, everytime someone kills, steals, etc. it's evil showing it's self. I dont know if it would be a sin, but im sure that is something that you would not want to do. most people think of the devil as this ugly monster, when in fact he was the most beautiful angel that God created. lucifer means moring star, or bright one. but i still dont think that you would want to meet him.

well, that depends -
If you believe in the existence of God, the devil, etc. or are superstitious in any similar way, if you ask for the devil, you beliefs might make you see the devil.
But if you do not believe in all the above, and not inclined to be superstitious in any other way, you'll probably not bother to ask, and even if you did, it will only be a form of a jest, so you will not expect, or get, any response.

well... when you say you are on God's side, if you mean you are a Christian then you should believe in the devil just by what the Bible says.
But, I dont think it would be a sin, but it is not something I would recommend anyway.... seems sorta pointless...

Well, if you're totally on God's side, you would accept what God teaches you. Musa/Moses (PBUH) wanted to strengthen his faith, so he asked Allah (SWT) to show Himself. Allah (SWT) told Musa (PBUH) if the nearby mountain withstands His presence, then He'd reveal Himself. The mountain crumbled to dust and Musa (PBUH) fainted. Allah (SWT) proves his existence in many ways.
Regarding the devil, Lucifer,Shaytaan, The Qur'an repeatedly warns us that the Shaytaan is nothing but an enemy to us. If you're contemplating calling on "Lucifer" to show himself to prove God exist, Shaytaan will not do it AND laugh at you (Yes,Shaytaan laughs at Muslims, too)

If you are "totally on God's side" I take it your a believer. Well, if you believe in God, and I'm assuming he hasn't appeared to you , why would you need Satan to appear to you as proof?
