I have friends in a church where women in meetings do not pray publicly, give out hymns/songs or preach - or prohphesy for that matter.

This is because of the verse in Corinthians that says women should keep silent. What are your views on this?

which characteristics does god have, is he kind and loving? or is she a violent vengeful diety? he cant be both. i can see the teachings of god changing in the new testiment....i guess jesus didnt like the idea of the world being gods private legoland. where he played with humans like they were barbies or GI joes. i personally think that as long as we love and serve others constantly trying to m ake the world a better place...it doesnt matter who with and how many times you go to bed with someone. abortion, is painful, but its often necessary to save the mothers life, both literally and figuritvely. he may not like it, but whjose to say those babies dont come to other couples?, (an i beleive god weould trade baby life for mothers life...he wants her to be HAPPY) just dont steal and murder. you gotta love and serve, then, and only then, will you get into heaven...if there is one.

what are your beliefs? please, feel free to bash the opposition, but please,,,,,nothing too ridiculous

I'm not putting anyone down, everyone has different beliefs. BUT I'm curious as to why anyone would WANT to believe that they came from an animal whose favorite past-time is flinging their own crap, as opposed to believing that they were created in the image of a perfect, all-powerful, omnipotent being... I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this, and even smarta$$ answers are welcome... Thanks.

Let me get this straight, to have blind faith I just have to blindly believe that there is a god or a buddha, or as I'm sure many will say "accept Christ as my savior"

Just blindly believe and it will be true, is that the jist of it?

I can't have blind faith that my bills will miraculously be paid, so why should I let blind faith control my soul?

I did a search on my boyfriends email name and came up with a list (mostly from ebay which I know are his) but also came up with a profile on a p o r n site. We're both religious and our church has strong views against p o r n. I am also strongly against p o r n o g r a p h y. Do you think this profile on the p o r n site is his? or not? The people who claims that trinity is so clear in the bible said that you can see in the whole bible, but if that is true why they don´t believe that God is divided in three or has three manifestation and why the people who really read the whole bible from the beginning until the end do not believe in trinity, not that Jesus is not divine that is not the point because the son of an american is an american so the Son of a Divine being (God) should be divine also but that doesn´t mean that his father and the son are the same person in a mistery that can´t be explain to a kid, and also muslims both of them are Abraham´seed and both of them reject the polytheist theory that God is three but one but three.
