People say "Died and gone to heaven, but how accurate is that?" When the bible says that we have to wait for Judgement day. I know that the physical body is dead, but what happens to the soul and spirit...what is the difference between the two?

I found this book, and it claimed that it was a true story. But some of the stuff in the book was like science fiction, with tales of supernatural occurances and stuff, but then the book took a scary turn.

It claimed that anyone who reads it, if they do not believe what was written in it, would die a horrible death!

The book is compelling and makes me want to believe it, but I did some checking and no one even knows who the original author is and the only real evidence for the stuff that happened is the book itself!

I asked my history professor why some of that stuff wasn't taught as history and he showed me that there just wasn't enough conclusive documentation that it actually occured.

So I was wondering, should I just believe it anyway, since I am afraid that if I do not, I will die a horrible death? Or would that just be dumb?

And I don't know why. Is there a God or not? Where are my blessings? Well I guess I have to get my own stuff and save
up all of my money and set up my own business and
forget about going to church.

What is the meaning of Life?

This question springs to life the quote::
"I am Unique, just like Everyone Else!"

While everyone has their own unique answer to this question (all of us wanting our own to be right), it is this question that needs no particular answer in order for it to be right.

All answers to this question, no matter how "unique" they are, are the correct AND incorrect answer to this question when perceived by anyone.

My answer (my Truth) is going to be my answer no matter what anyone else believes, as it is the same for everyone else. So, by answering this question, all one is doing is trying to convince others that they are right...

Isn't this one of the underlining causes of turmoil in this world? Why can't everyone be right, and no one be right, at the same time?

So my question to you...

When faced with a question like this (that needs No Answer), do you answer it?

I saw an episode of the Simpsons where Homer came up with a mathematical equation that proved God didn't exist (Flanders than burned it). Philosophers are constantly developing proofs about God's existence. Do you think one day they'll be undeniable evidence one way or the other?

If there is no evidence to support the existence or the non-existence of god, is it hypocritical to be an Atheist since no one really knows? Or is Agnosticism just Atheism for cowards?

I'm refering to my screen name - it's a joke I have with a friend who is called Jesus (he's peurto rican so it's pronounced hey-zoos) - he goes online as "I-hate-steve".

Get over yourselves, people, it's just a joke and doesn't involve messiahs or walking on water and all that.

Why do people (for the most part) in the r/s category have problems with people who live by faith? What is wrong with that? Why does everything have to be "proven" or "fact" or "tangible" for them? I'm not being judgemental, I'm just trying to get a better understanding at how people think.

Why do people become friends with one another, is it common interests? We find them funny? We find them intelligent?

Do we try to become friends with someone who says nice things or builds us up, or sometimes helps us and corrects us when we are doing the wrong thing?

Does size or shape matter? Does eye color matter? Does it matter if the person has a hairy back or big arm muscles?

Do we care if that person can sing or not?

Do we care what IQ that person has?

Do we like curious people more than boring people?

Does how much money a person have matter?

Why would someone want to be friends with Sean, he's just some guy isn't he?

Would it matter his religious beliefs or political beliefs?
Would it matter what his favorite football team was?
Would it matter what kind of car he drives?

What would be the criteria people would use in determining if they wanted to be friends with just some guy, do people use different criteria?

Genesis 1:3-5 says "And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night."

But then in verse 16 it says "God made two great light-the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars."

The first day God made light, but on the fourth day God made the sun and the moon.
Well, what was the light on the first day?
