Yes it is true, ones body is a gift from God and it should be treasured as such. It is not only in the Old Testament but in the New Testament as well. God bless you always.

Well I can tell you that the Bible does not use the term "sleep around", however, if you are really interested in the truth, then you should read it for yourself. Try reading in the King James version Bible Acts 15:20, Acts 15:29, 1 Corinthians 6:13, 1 Corinthians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, Jude 1:7. There are many more scriptures that speak of sex before marriage, of course I do not have enough space to list them all, but if you truly want to know, then do the research and you can start with the scriptures listed above. Pre-marital sex is WRONG! Today's society has so often shown it to be ok and in God's eyes, as you can read in his word, it certainly is not! If you have already done it, God will forgive you if you ask him to and flee from that sin. That is also in the Bible! You can read Acts 5:31, Acts 26:18, Ezekiel 14:6, Ezekiel 18:30, Matthew 3:2, Matthew 4:17, Mark 1:15, Mark 6:12, Acts 2:38. I hope this helps.

BOTH should be Virgin when they Marry! Perhaps ONE needs to go the CDC web site and look at all the STD'S, Sexually Transmitted Diseases! There are over 40-types of Chlamydia that are carried by men with no ill effects, and given to women, that causes Cervical Cancer!
(1Cor 6:18) Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
(1Co 6:19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
(1Co 6:20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Thanks, RR

It's a tough standard - but - I believe it to be valid and true. of all the people I've married (I don't know if all of them were virgins - but - that's not important) are still married!
A spiritual union as well as a physical union occurs when two people have sex together. It is like a unique bonding between the two people that nothing else on earth can duplicate.
"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one." That's from the Bible in Mark 10:7 - Jesus is speaking.
In the ultimate plan of God (as revealed in the Bible) two virgins will marry and become solidly "bonded" to each other through their first sexual experience together. This bond is intended to continually be strengthened and last for the rest of the couple's lives. The long term relationship is clearly more than just satisfying each others physical, sexual, and emotional needs. An invisible and tangible bond is formed between the two people.
When you lose your virginity to someone other than your marriage partner, you create a bond with one or more other people, that robs you of the one close union which God had in mind for you to enjoy throughout your life with your marriage partner. You become "bonded" to several people (if you have multiple sex partners) all of which rob you of the bonding and closeness that you could have had with one partner.
Multiple bonds with several people does not compensate for the original plan of one close bond with one person for life. All of the relationships end up less than

Where in the OT does it say men and women must sleep around? I know there are instances when a woman slept with someones "husband"
We are under the New Covenant with Jesus Christ, and it is always been that man and woman are for one another through a holy marriage.
Genesis 2:24
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. (Also see Ephesians 5:31 and it is in Mark and Matthew)
This means they will be "joined together" which is marriage, united together, and the word "fornication" in the bible is meaning to have sex before marriage, and this is a sin. We all fall short of God's glory and yes many do end up sinning before marriage, because our flesh is weak, but in God's eyes He designed sex FOR marriage, and to reproduce.
Malachi 2:15
Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring. So guard yourselves in your spirit, and let none of you be faithless to the wife of your youth. (and what mark1011 said above is great, good use of scripture for this question)

Some Christians do, some don't. Not all stay chaste for marriage. I know a couple of Christians who didn't do so but they are still forgiven and committed to Christ. We are only human.
I am a Christian and a 25 year old virgin waiting for Mr. Right. I plan on "doing the deed" after I've taken my wedding vows :)
It's better to save it for marriage because sex is very special and it can only be shared with someone special - your spouse.

No. Men must be at least 25 to 40 or more years older than the little 16 year old the marry and have had enough experience to devirginise her with care. According to the bible, of course.

Sister if you haven't i urge you to do so, try exept the subconciously to be a warrior in God's army and allow the lord to show you himself. Refraining from sexual activity is part of what the fight is all about and ideally that is exactly what he would have us to do. However keep in mind Jesus,Oh how Merciful and all loving is he, forgives when we do what is not of him but dont let that be the reason to sin. I love you Sis be blessed.

Yes both man and woman must remain a virgin until married, if they do not it is adultery, a sin to man, woman and God.

Marrige actually is translated differently now.
Men didn't have to stay married. And "virgin" didn't mean never had sex, virigin was someone who has never been married.
so it's hard to say, But I'm not going to model my life after 2000 year old etiquette. That's just absured
