I think that would be Cool ... Also another extra called Fun & Laughter ( which i did a question about earlier because there seems to be quite a lack of sense of humour on here lately ) :)

I imagine they come over because they believe they have something valuable to add to the place.
Often times they can.
Just because a person is of the opinion that something does not exist, or doesn't have a place in their lives so to speak doesn't mean it can't have an impact on their lives and for that reason alone they have the right to speak on it.
I fully appreciate some of the dialog which takes place.
Not always, that is true.
But, as a Christian, I want to be able to hear what the non-Christian has to say, to better my understanding and if nothing else become more compassionate in my response.

Haaaahahahahahah, that really is funny!
Without the althiest here, it would b kinda boring tho, dont u think. I mean, no point in talking to each other about stuff we all agree about....i have family and friends fr that, so y waste time on the net with it.
Its kinda fun to argue with them a bit.
i think they come here :
to argue
because they have some sort of grudge agains religoin
to prove their point
Care about others soooo much that they want to save them from spending their lives being religous
Cos they r yearning for God
or just cos they could be jealous....what of, i dont know , but ye.

We come here because atheism is ABOUT religion, even though it is not a religion itself. If Yahoo put in separate categories it wouldn't make a bit of difference. We would still be around.

No - because this is a section for discussing beliefs about God. Their lack of belief in God is still a belief about God. They have every right to be here and share their point of view. I think we can all learn from each other if we can discuss these matters with respect. I appreciate hearing from other viewpoints than my own. Not that I will be changing my mind, but their arguments often help to strengthen my own beliefs by challenging me to dig deeper for answers.

No. Its called an education. Too bad the Atheists tend to end up spending more time defending themselves (and the pagans) against attack than they do anything else.

No, I think Atheists come here because they want their point of view known and recognized. And they should be treated with respect even if someone disagrees with them.
