Monday, Tuesday, Happy days
Wednesday, Thurday, Happy days.
Atheists enjoy everyday.
Theists think every day is a test.
Most people hate tests.

I think theists would. When they look around in the world and see suffering, pain, death etc. they can just tell themselves "It's God's will", "It was meant to happen", etc. and then they feel at peace. Or if something goes wrong in their life they feel like if they pray enough God will fix it or give them the strength to get through it. They must have a perpetual warm fuzzy feeling.
Atheists have to accept the fact that life sometimes sucks and there is no reason for it. They have to accept that some of the things that happen are because humans are greedy, cruel, etc. They have to accept that good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people and there is no reason for it except for sheer chance. That is scary.
When something goes wrong in their life, they can't use an invisible magic being as a crutch. They have to depend on themselves, and find the strength in themselves to get through the crisis. They have to put their faith in people to fix the world, and that can be very depressing.

Its probably pretty even. Some are naturally happy, some are just bitter on both sides.
Overall, I think Atheists feel free from the judgmental aspect that religion brings, and Theists feel safe that they will enjoy an afterlife. If afterlife doesn't threaten you then Atheism works great, if it does find yourself a God.

Dear the real...
Depends on the rationality of their beliefs...
At various times, I have come across individuals who believe that Atheism is Rational, and Theism is Irrational.
I am yet to see proof, however, that this belief is correct.
I agree that there is irrationality to be found both within Atheism and within Theism.
However I see no proof that Theism is foundationally Irrational whereas Atheism is foundationally Rational.
The point that I am making is that there is a good bit of evidence that can rationally be understood as pointing to the existence of God. To name a few:
the big bang
the physical non-actualizability of an enumerated infinity
the anthropic coincidences/ fine-tuning of the Universe
the origin of first life
the need for large amounts of informational input for large-scale evolution to generate fundamentally new organs and new body-plans etc.

Cordially,

In general anyone who is decidedly a theist or atheist is content with their beliefs. We're all human and subject to the same ups and downs regardless of belief.

Atheists. I don't have to worry about whether or not I've angered the invisible deity who lives in the sky. Consequently, I'm happy nearly all the time.

The news station near where I live did a similiar report a few months ago on what people are actually happier, and according to their research, people who have a religion are happier. They did other groups of people as well, but since they aren't completely question related I guess I won't mention them.

As an atheist myself, I can tell you I enjoy something truly valuable that theists will always lack:
Freedom of mind.
SO who's happier then?

define happy. give me an example of what you consider to be happy. Is it the same as joy? Peace? humor? Contentment? laughter? Freedom? Because believers have all of this.
