From the beginning, God always had other people record His words, with one exception: He wrote the 10 commandments on stone and Moses recorded the rest. So you're essentially asking what makes this situation any different?
God told the Jews through the prophet Jeremiah that, some day, a New Covenant would be necessary. He stated this New Covenant wouldn't be written on stone as it was previously; it would be written on believers' minds and hearts (Jeremiah 31:33). The fact that Jesus' followers wrote what He said doesn't negate the fact that this New Covenant is written within us.

I mean c'mon swampthing, he is God incarnate. He is God that came down in the flesh. He created the universe. He said, before Abraham was, I am. He is in complete control of everything. He said everything he wanted to say through his writers he choose in the New Testament, he even choose Paul by blinding him and knocking him off his horse. Oh, by the way he wrote the Old testament too, and he didn't physically write that himself either.
You either have faith he is God or you don't.
If you don't you will try at all angles to come up with arguments through natural logic that does not hold up, because it's not about logic it's about faith.

How readily available do you think writing materials were at that time? Even if Jesus could have went to the store and bought paper and pen, I think He had better things to do. Jesus' time was limited, He knew that. He had to teach. His words and actions were accurately recorded because of the Holy Spirit. God made sure the truth was told.
May God Bless you.

He never thought of it at the time.
Seriously.... Jesus was human and made human mistakes. He didn't know that his followers were going to mess everything up so badly after his death.... He never figured that they would make so much trouble with it... so it probably never mattered to him that he didn't write things down.
Besides, he probably couldn't. I'll bet he was never taught to, being a carpenter's son and all that.
Not only that, but one cannot ask questions of a piece of papyrus.... It is also possible that he figured if anyone wanted to understand, they could ask him themselves.... while he was still around...

Because it is all made up by man. Its like someone writing a book now about current events duh? Do you think people would believe my story if I wrote about crazy stuff like people living to be 900 years old and someone getting all these friggin animals on one boat during a flood?? yeah how dumb. Maybe some of the events did happen because I can't see all of them being made up but like you said come on people! I don't understand it. I personally think life and the higher power has NOTHING to do with the bible. And come on like if we don't read it and believe it we are soooo going to hell! yeah ok! Good question, hope ya like my answer!

There is no such thing as a God or a jesus. people simply like to believe in something greater than themselves. religion is just a manifest that has spread with time. all throughout life, people have worshipped things and people to make them feel better about themselves. the reason why he did'nt do it himself is because there is no Jesus. i think he drunk a little too much of that wine. then people who are religious get mad when people tell them its not. you don't have the right to tell me otherwise because everyone in entitled to their own opinion.

When one is illuminated there is no need to speak or write. It was a personal choice.
As for your point about wanting the teachings to be fulfilled and not corrupted, it is a valid argument, however even if he did write his thoughts and message word for word, there is no guarantee that his word would remain pure. Even if it did, there would be no guarantee that his teachings would be followed word for word. His message was delivered, and that seemed to work rather well, despite the various interpretations.

He wasn't a writer, he was a carpenter.
Just as you are not a literary genius, or understanding parables very well.
His followers did that for him, I'm sure we'll find out this
answer when we see him again, but for now. He was a carpenter, not a writer. What do you do best?
